The RRB Ranchi Recruitment 2020 has released a notification for openings in 416 posts like Bumper Junior Engineer (JE), NTPC, CMA, DMS, and others. New staff will be recruited for both Group C and Group D positions. RRB Ranchi Admit Card

Candidates can download the RRB Ranchi Admit Card 10 days before the examination. The release date of admit card is not yet declared. It is advised that candidates should keep an eye on the website to get all the latest updates.

RRB Ranchi Eligibility Criteria

The RRB Ranchi Eligibility Criteria for every post in the Indian Railways are different. Candidates applying for the Group C and Group D posts like Junior Engineer (JE), CMA, DMS, NTPC and others are given below:

Educational Qualification

• The candidates must pass their 10th standard examination or matriculation from a relevant board with minimum passing marks. 

NTPC

• In certain NTPC posts, the candidates should pass their 12th standard examination from a relevant board with minimum passing marks.
• In certain NTPC posts, the candidates should have a graduation degree from a relevant university with minimum passing marks.
• In some special NTPC posts, the candidates should pass their 12th standard examination from a relevant board with minimum passing marks along with a certification in computer. 

Junior Engineer

• The candidates must possess a Diploma/ Degree in the relevant subject of engineering. 

Junior Engineer (Information Technology)

• The candidates must possess the following Degrees like BCA / B.Tech. (Information Technology)/ B.Tech. (Computer Science)/ PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ DOEACC ‘B’ Level Course having a 3 years duration or equivalent from recognised university/ institute.

Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant

• The candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Science with Chemistry and Physics with a minimum passing marks of 45%.

Depot Material Superintendent: 

• The candidates should have a Diploma/ Degree in Engineering from any discipline.

Age Criteria

• The General category candidates appearing for RRB Ranchi must be a minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 30 years in January 1st, 2020.
• The candidates from the OBC category will get age relaxation up to 3 years more. 
• In the SC/ ST category, also the candidates will get age relaxation up to 5 years. 
• There is age relaxation for other quotas as well like PwD, Ex-Serviceman, etc. 

Nationality

• All the candidates applying for the RRB Ranchi zone must belong to the Indian nationality. 

RRB Ranchi Selection Criteria 

The RRB Ranchi Selection Criteria for every position is determined by the CBT Stage 1 and Stage 2 which is mandatory for all the candidates. This exam format is followed by the aptitude test or skill test in some NTPC positions, and then the interview round and document verification. RRB Ranchi Computer Based Test Stage 1

• General Awareness: Current Affairs, Culture and History of India including freedom struggle, Indian Constitution and Indian Economy along with Environmental issues plaguing the country and the World, Sports and Technological Advancements.

RRB Ranchi Computer Based Test Stage 2

The candidates will only get a chance to appear in the stage 2 CBT if they secure the cut-off scores and qualify from stage 1 CBT. The total numbers of candidates here are almost twice the total number of vacancies available. The exam detail and pattern is given below.

• Technical Abilities: There are 7 groups in the technical category: Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Printing Technology and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant. Besides, there is a different syllabus for DMS and CMA.

RRB Ranchi NTPC Skill Test/ Aptitude Test

If candidates are appearing for the RRB NTPC exams, then there are some self-qualifiers rounds like Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and Typing Skill Test. The final merit list is made based on a 70:30 ratio, where maximum weightage is given to the CBT stage 2 followed by the Skill Test or Aptitude Test. All these successive stages need to be cleared before they are called for the final document verification. 

RRB Ranchi Result 

The RRB Ranchi Results will be subsequently published for every stage of the exam on the official website. Candidates can identify their name in the merit list if they qualify the rounds.
