Kerala Judiciary Exam Pattern 2025

"Kerala Judicial Service Examination consists of three stages: Preliminary, Mains and Interview, and each Examination have its respective pattern." With this, we mean that there is a separate pattern for the Prelims and Mains Examination, and you have to develop a good understanding of each of these. 

Preliminary

The primary component is made up entirely of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) divided into three sections: Part A, Part B, and Part C. This paper will be worth 100 points distributed in the following ratio: 40:30:30, with each correct answer worth 2 points. It is worth a total of 200 points.

Furthermore, for each incorrect attempt, you will receive a -1 (negative marking) from your final score. It will last two hours and thirty minutes. You will proceed to the main papers if you qualify for this round. Furthermore, the vacancy ratio is ten to one.

Mains

Once you clear the Preliminary examination with flying colours, you have to move to the next step, the Mains examination. The interesting part is that it is neither completely subjective nor objective. There is a mix of questions.

The Mains have 3 parts in each paper where part 1 carries 15 MCQs for 15 marks. Rest Part 2 & Part 3 have elaborate Questions, which can be answered in a Descriptive and Narrative manner. Each Paper carries 100 marks, and you are expected to score at least 45% in each paper to crack the nutshell.
