Overview: UP Judicial Officer Vacancy 2024; Uttar Pradesh PCS-J has also decided to recruit judicial officers with the new provisions in Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Rules 2023. The number of posts of judicial officers in Uttar Pradesh has been increased to 1340. 799 permanent posts and 541 temporary posts.
It is announced that, and candidates may expect to see recruitment for judicial officer vacancies in the first week of February. However, no official notification has been released yet. Applicants should await the official notification.
Qualifications: The applicant must possess a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university in Uttar Pradesh. Alternatively, the applicant must be a registered Advocate under the provisions of the Advocate Act 1961, a Barrister of England or Northern Ireland, or a Member of the Faculty of Advocates in Scotland. Proficiency in the Devnagri Script of the Hindi language is also required.

Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 22 years old but not more than 35 years old as of the date mentioned in the official notice. Some relaxation in the age limit will be provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as OBC/SC/ST, as per the rules set by the state government.
General Requirements: The candidate should be an Indian citizen with good physical health and a strong moral character. Additionally, the candidate should not have any history of involvement in criminal cases related to moral misconduct.

Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service Examination: Exam Pattern
The Civil Judge Preliminary Examination consists of three rounds. The preliminary test is a multiple-choice objective type examination. The written exam comprises two composite papers. Paper-I carries a total of 150 marks, while Paper-II carries 300 marks. Each paper has a time duration of 2 hours.
