The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the results for the B.Arch (Paper 2A) and B.Planning (Paper 2B) segments of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 today i.e, March 5, 2024. As per the announcement, candidates who have participated in the examination can now check their scores through the official NTA website. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to access your scorecard, understand the next steps for successful candidates, and get insights into the cut-off trends for this year. 

In a much-anticipated update, the NTA has confirmed the release of results for the B.Arch and B.Planning examinations conducted as part of the JEE Main Paper 2024. The exams took place on January 24, 2024, witnessing significant participation. With 74,002 candidates registering, about 55,493 (75%) appeared for the examination in the scheduled shift. 

Steps to Access the JEE Main B.Arch 2024 Results

  • Visit the official JEE Main website at https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/. 
  • Locate and select the “Result” section, then click on the “JEE Mains Result for B.Arch/B.Plan” link. 
  • Input your JEE Main application number and date of birth or password to log in. 
  • Upon successful login, your scorecard, detailing your performance, will be displayed. 
  • It is recommended to download and print the scorecard for future administrative and academic use.

Candidates can expect to see a comprehensive breakdown of their performance on the scorecard, including personal information, application number, roll number, details of guardians, eligibility state, nationality, reservation category, disability status, and the total NTA scores achieved.

Tie-Resolution Mechanism

To ensure fairness and precision in the ranking process, the NTA employs a systematic approach to resolving score ties. The criteria for tie-breaking prioritize higher marks in the aptitude test, followed by the drawing test scores, and, if necessary, the age of the candidates, with older candidates being given preference.

Anticipated JEE Main Cut-off Scores 2024 

While the official cut-off scores for B.Arch and B.Planning admission are pending announcement, preliminary estimates suggest a range of 85-90 for General category candidates. Expected cut-offs for other categories, including EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST, have also been projected. These anticipated cut-offs take into account several factors, including historical cut-off trends, the difficulty level of the current year's examination, and the overall number of exam participants. 

Next Steps for Qualifying Candidates

Qualifying candidates meeting the requisite JEE Main cut-off will be eligible to partake in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process, a critical step towards securing a seat in their preferred undergraduate architecture or planning program. Following the conclusion of both examination sessions, the NTA will issue a final rank list and distribute scorecards to all candidates.
