  • The QA-MCQ section was the toughest section of the IPMAT Indore 2024 paper. The questions were difficult and took a lot of time to solve. Especially, the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) part was difficulty to understand and solve.

  • Students gave mixed reviews to the Verbal Ability section, which they rated as easy to moderate in difficulty. The section was easy for some, but difficult for others.

IPMAT Paper Analysis - Student's Reactions

  • Overall difficulty of IPMAT Indore was moderate but difficult than last year's paper with no major changes in the pattern of the paper. Students rated question papers between 6 and 8 for difficulty.
  • Students pointed out that the paper was lengthy and were able to attempt about 65-85 questions. Students also pointed out that VA could be the deciding section for IPMAT cut off.
  • Our students mentioned that questions were familiar and encountered too many questions from our mock test series.
  • At Bhilai center, students mentioned that Verbal ability was easy to moderate, covering questions from synonyms, phrasal verbs, and reading comprehension. Students also pointed that MCQs were moderate to hard.
  • In quantitative aptitude (SA) section had many conceptual questions that were easy to solve. Topics covered matrices, logs, DI, LR, arithmetic, and the majority of the SA questions came from higher math topics.
  • Students at Chandigarh centre, highlighted that mathematics was a bit difficult and English was moderate. The SA section's questions were simple to answer, while the MCQs took more time.
  • At Lucknow centre, students mentioned that the paper was moderate to difficult but doable and rated 8 for difficulty.
  • Applicants highlighted that the QA-SA section was quite easy but lengthy, but QA-MCQ was a bit tougher than SA. Students also reported a difficult question DI of 4 questions from topics like median in the QA-MCQ section.
  • At Indore centre, candidates stated that verbal ability questions were easy to solve, with RC passages taking approx. 6 minutes to finish. The verbal ability section included questions from reading comprehension, vocabulary, elimination, grammar, parajumbles, etc.
  • Students also mentioned that QA- SA were easy and MCQs were moderate. In the verbal ability, section RC-passages were easy to solve, vocabulary was moderate and parajumbles were moderate too.
  • At Kolkata centre, candidates stated that the paper was moderately difficult, with the quantitative aptitude section being the most difficult and QA-SA and VA being the easiest.
  • At Nagpur centre, candidates pointed out that QA-MCQ was the hardest section because questions were a bit tricky compared to last year. VA section was on the easier side and students didn't report any pattern change from last year.
  • At Bhopal centre, one of the dropper students stated that the QA-SA section was easy and doable as compared to last year, but LRDI questions were on the moderate to difficult side and took about 10 minutes to solve.
  • Students also highlighted that the QA-SA section had a mix of doable and moderate questions.
  • At Patna centre, students mentioned that the paper was a bit difficult. Students provided a mixed reaction in the verbal ability section as some faced some difficulty.

  • A biometric process was in place for identity verification.

IIM Rohtak IPMAT Exam Analysis 2024 - Students' Reaction

  • As per the first reaction of students, the IPMAT Rohtak was easy. Students were easily able to navigate through the paper from one section to another.
  • There was no sectional timing in the question paper or surprising element.
  • Many students began their papers with the VA (Verbal Ability) section and some began their papers with LR (Logical Reasoning). 
  • Our students at Indore highlighted that the majority of the questions had already been discussed during the lectures.
  • Students felt the IPMAT Rohtak question paper seemed pretty familiar since some of the questions has been previously studied.
  • Students found the grammar section to be easy as well. The paper included questions from error and finding, as well as para-jumbles.
  • The question paper had 2 reading comprehension passages and one based poem. One of the reading comprehensions was from the mocks.
  • Students indicated that they may score between 150 and 160 in the verbal ability section.
  • Students from Lucknow found the paper to be tougher than last year's and based on this they suggested that the cut-off for general could go around 320 to 330
  • The Verbal Ability (VA) section was easy, but some found it tough because of the vocabulary.
  • Compared to last year, the mathematics (Quantitative Ability) section was easy.
  • Students in Nagpur mentioned that the paper was easy to moderate and there was no major change in the exam pattern. With the Verbal Ability section being the toughest, followed by QA and Logical Reasoning.

  • Students found 2 sets of DI in the LR section but were easy to solve.
  • Candidates mentioned that Verbal Ability was easy to moderate and highlighted that RC and vocab questions were easy but tricky. Some also mentioned that there were different types of questions in English.
  • There was a mixed reaction to cut off; some suggested it may go up, while others predicted it would go down this time.
  • At Raipur, students mentioned that paper was moderate to hard and cut off could go down this time.
  • Applicants highlighted that the Verbal ability sections was easy and Quantitative ability was a bit difficult to solve. 
  • Students found logical reasoning as moderate. They felt Quantitative Ability was quite tough and almost all the topics from the syllabus had been covered in it.
  • Students at Bhilai centre highlighted that paper was easy as compared to mocks.
  • Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning questions were similar to what they practiced during their lectures. Also, they found verbal ability a bit tougher than other sections with vocabulary being the toughest. 
  • They felt that most questions were from arithmetic and fewer questions had been asked from modern math and set theory.
  • Applicants in Kolkata stated that the questions ranged from easy to moderate, with QA being the most difficult and Verbal being tricky and time-consuming.
  • Students at Gwalior highlighted that the paper was below expectations and overall the paper was average but tougher than last year and they are expecting a cut-off of 380-390.
