Droupadi Murmu lays the foundation stones of multiple projects, including 3 railway lines in Odisha
- President Droupadi Murmu today (December 7) laid the foundation stones for different projects including three railway projects worth 6,294 crore rupees in north Odisha, connecting Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
- She also initiated projects for a Tribal Research and Development Centre, a 52.4 crore rupees 100-bed hospital and development project for upgrading the Dandbose airstrip at Rairangpur in her home district Mayurbhanj.
Google signed an agreement to set up a security engineering centre in Hyderabad
- Google and the Telangana government have entered into an agreement to establish a Google Safety Engineering Centre (GSEC) in Hyderabad. This will be the second in the Asia Pacific region, following Tokyo, and the fifth globally, joining Dublin, Munich, and Malaga.
Nationwide 100-day TB eradication campaign launched
- Union Health Minister Shri Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda launches 100-day intensified nationwide campaign to reduce TB incidence and mortality in Panchkula, Haryana. This will be a focused campaign of 100 days with the effort to quickly detect and treat TB patients in the 347 most affected districts across the country.

- Gujarat has become the first state to telecast live court proceedings on YouTube, said an official release on Saturday., According to an official release, virtual court, digital portal, and paperless e-filing approaches have also been adopted by the state judiciary.
Govt to launch 'Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore' campaign to improve service delivery
- The Centre will launch "Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore", a nation-wide campaign to redress public grievances and improve service delivery, during the good governance week from December 19 to 24, Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore is a decentralised version of special campaign 4.0 conducted in central ministries and departments and public sector undertakings (PSUs) from October 2 to 31, 2024.

Shammi Silva became the president of the Asian Cricket Council
- Sri Lanka's Shammi Silva has taken over as the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), succeeding India's Jay Shah, who recently became the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Mr. Shah had vacated the position after three terms as ACC President.
