Bundelkhand Wheat Variety Gets GI Tag
- The indigenous wheat variety from the Bundelkhand region in Uttar Pradesh, locally known as Kathiya Gehu, has been granted the prestigious Geographical Indication (GI) tag. This is the first farm produce from Uttar Pradesh to receive this honor.
- Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a leader in acquiring GI tags, becoming the first state to achieve a remarkable 69 GI tags.

Maharashtra Men’s and Women National Kho Kho Champion
- Maharashtra team emerged as the undisputed champion at the 56th National Kho Kho Championship 2023-24, clinching both the men’s and women’s titles.
- The championship was held at Delhi’s Karnail Singh Stadium and the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.

World’s Oldest Man, Juan Vicente Pérez, Dies at 114
- He was alive for 114 years. Now that Pérez has passed away, the title of “world’s oldest man” is expected to go to a 112-year-old man from Japan named Gisaburo Sonobe.

- AGEL has commissioned 2,000 MW of solar capacity at the Khavda solar park in Gujarat.
- This makes AGEL the first company in India to exceed the 10,000 MW mark in renewable energy capacity.
