Indian Navy’s P8I aircraft to take part in Exercise Varuna

  • The Indian Navy’s P-8I aircraft has landed at Air Base 125 Istres-Le Tube in France, marking its first-ever deployment in Europe, to participate in the 22nd edition of Exercise Varuna with the French Navy.
  • This deployment comes 63 years after the Indian Navy’s Alize aircraft, operating from the erstwhile INS Vikrant, last flew at Hyeres Airbase, according to a statement released by the Indian Navy.

President Droupadi Murmu Unveils New Supreme Court Flag and Insignia

  • President Droupadi Murmu unveiled the new flag and insignia of the Supreme Court of India during the two-day National Conference of District Judiciary held in New Delhi. The ceremony, attended by members of the judiciary from across the nation, symbolized the rich cultural and legal heritage of India, encapsulated in the newly designed symbols of the highest court. 

Vishanu Yuddh Abhyas - Pandemic Preparedness Drill Under One Health Mission

  • Under the National One Health Mission (NOHM), a comprehensive mock drill named “Vishanu Yuddh Abhyas” (Virus War Exercise) was held in Ajmer district, Rajasthan, from August 27 to August 31, 2024. This exercise aimed to assess the pandemic preparedness of the National Joint Outbreak Response Team (NJORT), which includes experts from human health, animal husbandry, and wildlife sectors. T

Kaynes' Proposal for Semiconductor Unit at Sanand Gets Govt Nod

  • The government on Monday cleared a proposal of Kaynes Semicon to set up a Rs 3,307-crore semiconductor unit in Sanand, Gujarat, that will have the capacity to churn out 6.3 million chips a day.

RIL Becomes India’s First Company to Surpass Rs 10 Lakh Crore in Annual Revenue

  • Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has made history as the first Indian company to exceed ₹10 lakh crore in annual revenue. This milestone was revealed during RIL’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) by Chairman Mukesh Ambani. For the financial year 2023-24, Reliance achieved a record consolidated turnover of ₹10,00,122 crore (USD 119.9 billion), with a net profit of ₹79,020 crore (USD 9.5 billion).
