Chile Open 2025: Indian-Colombian duo claim men’s doubles title
- In Tennis, India’s Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli and his Colombian partner Nicolás Barrientos have claimed the men’s doubles title of the Chile Open in Santiago. The Indian- Columbian duo upset top seeds Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni of Argentina, 6-3, 6-2, in straight sets last night. This is the first title of Rithvik and Nicolas as a team.
- In the semifinal, the duo defeated the third seeds, Guido Andreozzi of Argentina and Theo Arribage of France 4-6, 7-6, 10-5.
Indian-Australian duo clinch Dubai Tennis Championships doubles title
- In Tennis, India’s Yuki Bhambri and his partner Alexei Popyrin of Australia clinched the doubles title at the Dubai Tennis Championships. The unseeded, Indian-Australian duo defeated the second-seeded pair of Harri Heliovaara of Finland and Great Britain’s Henry Patten in the men’s doubles summit clash 3-6, 7-6, 10-8 in Dubai last night.
Vidarbha clinch third Ranji Trophy title, beat Kerala on 1st-innings lead
- A magnificent run in domestic cricket this season culminated in a third Ranji Trophy title for Vidarbha on Sunday, who defeated Kerala on the basis of a first-innings lead on the fifth and final day of the summit clash at their home ground.

- National Defence Day is a day to commemorate the sacrifices made by our armed forces in order to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our nation. It is celebrated on March 3rd every year in India. It was first celebrated on March 3, 1933, in order to honour the bravery of the Indian Army during the 1857 War of Independence.

India host the first-ever conference on women peacekeepers
- A two-day conference on women peacekeepers deployed in UN missions kicks off in New Delhi on Monday (March 3), Titled “Women in Peacekeeping: A Global South Perspective,” this first-of-its-kind event is being organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and the Centre for United Nations Peacekeeping.
- Women peacekeepers from 35 Troop Contributing Countries (TCCs) across the Global South will participate. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific
- High-Level (12th) Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific Kicks off in Jaipur City, Rajasthan, India, it is to be scheduled from 3-5 March 2025.
- The objective of the Forum is to chart pathways and opportunities for realizing circular and zero-waste societies in the Asia-Pacific region. The Forum further aims to discuss and agree on a new voluntary 3R and Circular Economy Declaration covering the period 2025 to 2034 for achieving resource-efficient, clean, resilient, sound material cycle and low-carbon societies in Asia and the Pacific.
