On the 75th Republic Day, THDC India Limited inaugurated India's largest Green Hydrogen Pilot Project

  • On the 75th Republic Day, THDC India Limited (THDCIL), a prominent Power Sector PSU, proudly unveiled India’s Largest Electrolyser End Fuel Cell-based Green Hydrogen Pilot Project at its office complex in Rishikesh.
  • The initiative aligns with the “National Green Hydrogen Mission,” showcasing THDCIL’s commitment to sustainable energy practices. The pilot project, utilizing a 1MW Rooftop Solar Plant, will produce 50KG of Green Hydrogen daily.

January 30 is observed as Martyrs' Day or Shaheed Diwas 

  • Martyrs' Day, also known as Shaheed Diwas, is observed in India on January 30 annually. The day is dedicated to pay homage to the courageous soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their motherland. It also marks the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in 1948. In 1949, Godse, a Hindu nationalist, was sentenced to death.

2024 Padma awards

  • Former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu, actors Chiranjeevi and Vyjayanthimala Bali, and Bharatanatyam dancer Padma Subrahmanyam will be conferred with Padma Vibhushan, the country’s second highest civilian award, the Central government announced on the eve of Republic Day. Bindeshwar Pathak, founder of Sulabh International, will be conferred with the award posthumously.

Union Budget 2024
