India UK Sign Agreement on Electric Propulsion System for Indian Navy
- India and the United Kingdom have signed a framework agreement for co-designing, co-creating and co-production of Electric Propulsion Systems (engines) for the next generation of Indian Naval ships. The Statement of Intent on Cooperation on Design & Development of Electric Propulsion Systems for the Indian Navy was signed between the Ministries of Defence of India and the United Kingdom in Portsmouth, England, on November 28, 2024.

Government of India to host 1st Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav in New Delhi
- As part of the central government’s vision to make the North Eastern region the development engine of the country, the government of India has decided to hold an Asthalakshmi Mahotsav in New Delhi from 6-8 December 2024. This was announced by the Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, in New Delhi on 29 November 2024.
The 59th All India Conference of DGP/IG kicks off in Odisha
- The Union Minister for Home Affairs, Amit Shah, inaugurated the 59th All India Conference of Director Generals (DGP)/ Inspector General (IG) of Police in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on 29th November 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend and address the All India Conference on 30th November and 1st December, 2024.

- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors has elected Masato Kanda as ADB’s President, He is currently serving as Special Advisor to Japan’s Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, He will complete the remaining term of President Asakawa, which will end on 23 November 2026.

SAIL and John Cockerill India sign MoU to drive innovation and green steel technologies
- Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna and India’s largest public sector steel producer, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with John Cockerill India Limited (JCIL), the Indian arm of the global John Cockerill Group in Mumbai. This MoU aims to leverage the combined strengths of the two companies, including cutting-edge technologies, extensive industry expertise and a shared vision for innovation and sustainability.
NHPC signes MoU with GGGI to Drive Clean Energy Innovations
- In a significant step toward fostering sustainable development and combating climate change, NHPC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) at its Corporate Office, Faridabad on November 28th, 2024. The MoU was signed by Shri V.R. Shrivastava, Executive Director (REGH), NHPC and Shri Soumya Prasad Garnaik, Country Head of GGGI in the presence of Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC and Dr. D.K. Khare, Advisor, GGGI. Senior officials from both organizations also attended the ceremony.

- India has signed a $98 million loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank to enhance horticulture crop productivity. The loan will establish disease-free planting systems, improving crop yield, quality, and climate resilience. The initiative aligns with India's Atmanirbhar Clean Plant Programme and involves collaboration with key agricultural bodies.
