India-Cambodia Joint Exercise CINBAX Begins in Pune
- The Indian Army and the Cambodian Army have commenced their first-ever Joint Table Top Exercise, CINBAX, at the Foreign Training Node in Pune. Scheduled from 1st to 8th December 2024, the exercise aims to foster strategic cooperation, trust, and interoperability between the two nations.
197 nations at UNCCD COP16 in Riyadh
- The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification’s 16th Conference of Parties (COP16) will begin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is the first time West Asia is hosting this crucial environmental conference. India will join representatives from 197 nations at this milestone event, which coincides with UNCCD’s 30th anniversary.

Kerala to launch insurance scheme to cover entire cattle population
- Kerala is set to launch a comprehensive insurance scheme benefiting the entire cattle population in the State, said J Chinchurani, the State Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry Minister. The Centre has approved the scheme.
‘Mission Arun Himveer' has been launched by the Arunachal Pradesh government
- Giving a boost to market linkages for agri-horti producers of Arunachal Pradesh, the state government launched 'Mission Arun Himveer' with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board (APAMB) and the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), North East Frontier, in presence of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Gujarat’s ‘Gharcholas’ receive GI tag
- Gujarati “Gharcholas” traditionally worn on weddings within Hindu and Jain communities has received a Geographical Indication or GI tag from the Government of India, the coveted GI tag for Gharchola handicrafts was presented to Gujarat at the “GI and Beyond – Virasat Se Vikas Tak” program in New Delhi, hosted by the Handlooms Development Commissioner of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

- Former Australia Test opener Ian Redpath has passed away at the age of 83, said Cricket Australia (CA), Redpath was a regular fixture in the Australian team in the 1960s and 1970s, and served as a member of the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.
