- The National Water Mission, under the Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, hosted the ‘Jal Itihas Utsav‘ at Shamsi Talab, Jahaz Mahal in Mehrauli, Delhi, on December 1, 2023.
- The ‘Jal Itihas Utsav’ marked the culmination of the “Water Heritage Fortnight”.
- The theme was “Source Sustainability for Drinking Water.”

Cabinet Approves Terms for 16th Finance Commission
- In a press briefing on Wednesday, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur revealed that Cabinet greenlit the terms of reference for the Sixteenth Finance Commission (SFC).
- The Fifteenth Finance Commission (FFC), chaired by N K Singh, for instance, delved into the impact of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- The Finance Commission, established under Article 280 of the Indian Constitution by the Indian President in 1951.
RBI inks pact with Bank of England on bond clearing settlement
