India and United States of America sign the first ever Cultural Property Agreement
- The Government of India and the Government of the United States of America signed the first ever 'Cultural Property Agreement' to prevent and curb the illicit trafficking of antiquities from India to the USA, on the sidelines of the 46th World Heritage Committee, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
- The agreement was signed by Shri Govind Mohan, Secretary, Ministry of Culture and H.E. Eric Garcetti, Ambassador of the United States of America to India in the august presence of Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
India UK launches Tech Security Initiative
- India and the United Kingdom have launched a new technology security initiative to deepen defence collaboration and boost economic ties between the two countries. The initiative was launched during the visit of the United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary David Lammy’s visit to India.

Moidams of Assam Added To UNESCO World Heritage List
- The Moidams, the 700-year-old mound-burial system of the Ahom dynasty in Assam, were officially included in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the Cultural Property category. The decision was made during the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee (WHC) currently taking place in Delhi.
India’s First Integrated Agri-Export Facility at Jawaharlal Nehru Port
- India's first integrated agri-export facility will come up at Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Mumbai. Shipping ministry has approved a Rs 284 crore public-private partnership (PPP) project to revolutionise agri-logistics and reduce wastage.
Government setting up 7 PM MITRA Parks with world class infrastructure
- The Government has approved setting up of 7 (Seven) PM Mega Integrated Textile Region. Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites (including a Greenfield project in Virudhanagar Tamil Nadu) with world class infrastructure including plug and play facility with an outlay of Rs. 4,445 cr for a period of seven years upto 2027-28.
PM To Chair 9th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the 9th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre, New Delhi. The theme of this year's meeting is “Viksit Bharat@2047,” with a central focus on making India a developed nation.

Shekhar Kapur Appointed As IFFI Festival Director
- Veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has been appointed as the Festival Director for the 55th and 56th editions of the International Film Festival of India, Mr. Kapur will head the festival, held annually in Goa, India.
India (Rajendra Singh) takes over as chair of Asian Disaster Risk Reduction organization
- India took over as Chair of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre for 2024-25, with Rajendra Singh from NDMA assuming the role. The country aims to lead in disaster risk reduction under PM Narendra Modi's guidance. India chaired the ADPC's 5th Board of Trustee meeting in Bangkok, showcasing its global leadership.

RBI Introduces PCA Framework to Improve Financial Health of UCBs
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on July 26 prescribed a Prompt Corrective Action (PCA) framework for relatively weak urban co-operative banks (UCBs), with deposits above ₹100 crore (upper tier category), to nurse them back to health. As per the framework, a financially unsound and ill-managed UCB can be brought under PCA if it breaches the risk thresholds of identified indicators pertaining to capital and profitability).
