Piyush Goyal inaugurates Invest India’s new office in Singapore

  • Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated the Invest India’s new office in Singapore. The office will serve as a dedicated point of contact for companies from the region looking to invest in India, fostering collaboration across sectors. 

India and Kuwait signed an MoU to teach Hindi

  • India and Kuwait signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to teach Hindi in Kuwait. The MoU was signed by Dr. Adarsh Swaika, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, and Professor Bassam Alameddine, the President of GUST. The agreement states that the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) will appoint an Indian academician to teach Hindi at GUST for up to three years.

Jaipur to Host the 25th IIFA Awards

  • Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is set to host the prestigious 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards from March 7 to 9, 2025, at the JECC Sitapura. The announcement was made during a formal agreement signing ceremony at the iconic Albert Hall, attended by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari.

Pune airport to be renamed Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj International airport

  • The Maharashtra government has decided to rename Pune airport to Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj International Airport, Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj was born in Lohegaon, where Pune International Airport is located. He also spent his childhood there. Therefore, this proposal was presented to the state government.

Anmol Kharb bags her second title by winning the Polish International

  • Continuing her impressive performance, Indian badminton prodigy Anmol Kharb won the women’s singles title at the Polish International Badminton Championships. 17-year-old Anmol Kharb won her first senior international title last week by winning the Belgian International Badminton Championships singles title.

  • Walmart-owned e-commerce firm Flipkart has appointed Seema Nair as chief human resources officer (CHRO). In this role, she will oversee human resources for Flipkart, partnering closely with respective leaders and HR teams. 

KVS Manian takes charge as MD & CEO, Federal Bank

  • KVS Manian has taken over as the new Managing Director & CEO of Federal bank effective September 23, 2024. He joins Federal Bank after working for over two-and-a-half decades at Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.
