• In Tennis, Joao Fonseca of Brazil triumphed over Learner Tien of the United States in a four-set showdown to win the 2024 Next Gen ATP Finals title in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Fonseca secured the championship with a 2-4, 4-3, 4-0, 4-2 victory.

Shyam Benegal, a giant of Indian cinema, passed away

• Filmmaker Shyam Benegal, a giant of Indian cinema and one of the guiding lights of the Parallel Cinema movement, passed away due to kidney-related ailments in Mumbai on Monday (December 23, 2024). He was 90. 

Epigamia Co-Founder Rohan Mirchandani Passes Away

• Rohan Mirchandani, the co-founder of the popular brand Epigamia, tragically passed away at the age of 42. known for his entrepreneurial spirit and visionary leadership.

National Consumer Rights Day: India

• National Consumer Rights Day is celebrated in India on December 24th to commemorate the enactment of the Consumer Protection Act of 1986, The Consumer Rights Act was approved by the President of India on 24 December 1986. Since then, 24th December has been celebrated as National Consumer Day.
• State-run power giant NTPC on Monday said it has signed an initial pact with GRIDCO and CRUT to set up green hydrogen infrastructure in Odisha.
