13th Edition of India -Singapore Agni Warrior Military Exercise

  • The Indian and Singaporean Army concluded their joint military exercise code-named ‘Agni Warrior’ on 30th November 2024.
  • Field Firing Ranges, Devlali (Maharashtra), hosted the 13th edition of the Agni Warrior exercise between the armies of the two countries from 28 to 30 November 2024. The 12th edition was also held at the Field Firing Ranges, Devlali (Maharashtra), in November 2022, This was the third bilateral exercise between the two countries in October and November 2024.

Defence Ministry signs contract worth over Rs 1,200cr with Cochin Shipyard

  • The Defence Ministry signed a contract with Cochin Shipyard Limited for the short refit and dry docking of INS Vikramaditya at an overall cost of more than 1,200 crore rupees. The Defence Ministry said that this project is an important step towards the development of Cochin Shipyard Limited as a Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Hub for supporting the industrial ecosystem of India. 

Indian Railways Launched Sanraksha Mobile App to Boost Passenger Safety & Staff Training

  • Indian Railways took another step towards passenger safety with the Pan-India launch of Sanraksha Mobile Application. The application aims at improving railway safety through capacity building of the Indian Railway’s frontline safety category staff, The application has been designed by 2013 batch IRTS Officer Shri Dilip Singh, who is currently working as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Nagpur, South East Central Railway.

  • World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988,[1] is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease, World AIDS Day was established in 1988 by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise awareness and honor those affected by HIV/AIDS. 

Nagaland on its statehood day

  • Nagaland was formally inaugurated on December 1, 1963, as the 16th state of India, by putting together the Naga majority territory and part of Tuensang, since then, December 1 has been celebrated annually as Nagaland Statehood Day.
