India & Japan signs agreement on UNICORN Tech for Indian Navy
- India and Japan have signed a Memorandum of Implementation (MoI)/agreement for the co-production of the Japanese-developed Unified Complex Radio Antenna (UNICORN) system to be installed on Indian naval ships.
- The agreement was signed in Tokyo, Japan, on 15 November 2024. This is the first India-Japan joint production venture in defence equipment since the bilateral agreement on the transfer of defence equipment and technology in 2016.

Amit Shah to inaugurate golden jubilee edition of All India Police Science Congress
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the golden jubilee edition of the All India Police Science Congress at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar today (November 19), Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also participate in the event. Mr Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat, will also attend several key events in Gujarat.
Kerala to host Vizhinjam Conclave 2024, aims to boost global supply chain
- In an effort to position Kerala as a critical node in the global supply chain, the state government is set to organise a global investment summit on January 29 and 30 - 2025 in Thiruvananthapuram to promote Vizhinjam International Seaport as a key link to drive growth in various sectors, including tourism, manufacturing and fisheries.
India to host WADA GLDF Results Management Training in New Delhi from Nov 19
- India, in collaboration with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), will host the Global Learning and Development Framework (GLDF) Results Management Training in New Delhi starting tomorrow (November 19).
- The four-day training aims to standardize anti-doping procedures, foster collaboration among nations, and strengthen the global sport integrity framework.

- Australia’s University of Wollongong (UOW) has officially inaugurated its India campus at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar. The new campus, offering Master’s degrees in Financial Technology and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Technology, marks a strategic entry into the Indian educational landscape, aligning with India’s rapidly growing fintech sector.

K Sanjay Murthy appointed new Comptroller and Auditor General of India
- President Droupadi Murmu has appointed K Sanjay Murthy, an IAS officer of the 1989 batch, as the new Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, Murthy, who belongs to the Andhra Pradesh cadre, is presently the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education in the Union Ministry of Education.

- Co-working major WeWork India announced the appointment of Jitendra Mohandas Virwani as Non-Executive Chairman of the company while Karan Virwani will now be Managing Director and CEO.
