UP and Tripura CM Inaugurate Sidheshwari Temple

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha jointly inaugurated the newly built Sidheshwari Temple at Barkathal in Tripura,. Yogi Adityanath also laid the foundation stone for the Ved Vidyalaya at Chitta Dham, Barakathal, Mohanpur, West Tripura.

India win 5th Asian Champions Trophy hockey title after beating China

The Indian team won their 5th Asian Champions trophy crown as they defeated a resolute China 1-0 on September 17, Tuesday. Jugraj Singh scored the decisive goal in the 51st minute to help India secure the win as China made the defending champions work hard for the win in the end.

Senior IPS Officer Amrit Mohan Appointed SSB Chief

Senior IPS officer Amrit Mohan Prasad was on Friday appointed as the Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), according to an official order, Prasad, a 1989-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Odisha cadre, is presently working as Special Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). 

Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways appointed Manu Bhaker as their New Brand Ambassador

The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal announced that the Double Olympic Medal Winner in Shooting, Manu Bhaker, has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador for the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways 

Atishi Marlena named new Chief Minister of NCT Delhi

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), in a meeting in New Delhi on 17 September 2024, has elected senior party leader Atishi Marlena as its new chief minister after the announcement of resignation by the incumbent chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal. Atishi will be 3rd woman after Sushama Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit and 8th person to become the chief minister of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. 

Amazon India appoints Samir Kumar as its new head

Amazon India has appointed Samir Kumar as its new head, effective October 1, 2024. A 25-year company veteran, Kumar takes over from Manish Tiwary, who is stepping down after leading the Indian business for over eight years. 

National Symposium ‘Exercise AIKYA’ on Disaster Management to Begin in Chennai

In a significant milestone under the mission to provide quality generic medicines and surgical equipments at affordable prices to the masses, the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI) and Coal India Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for opening of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the premises of every coal field, selected hospitals or any suitable location specified or decided by Coal India Limited.
