First trilateral power transaction from Nepal to Bangladesh via Indian Grid

  • The first trilateral power transaction – from Nepal to Bangladesh through the Indian Grid, was inaugurated today (November 15), Power Minister Manohar Lal jointly inaugurated the power flow from Nepal to Bangladesh, along with the Adviser of Bangladesh Ministry of Power, Fouzul Kabir Khan, and Nepal’s Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Dipak Khadka, through a virtual event.

First Bodoland Mahotsav Inaugurated by PM Modi

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first-ever Bodoland Mahotsav on 15th November at 6:30 PM at the SAI Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi. The two-day festival, which will be held on 15th and 16th November, will celebrate the rich culture and heritage of the Bodoland region. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering during the inauguration. 

Amit Shah unveils a grand statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in New Delhi

  • Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah today, (15 November) unveiled a grand statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at Baansera Park in New Delhi on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary year.

  • t was a breathtaking display by India’s top-order with Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson both scoring a century as they set a mammoth 284-run target against South Africa in the fourth and final T20I at the Wanderer’s Stadium in Johannesburg.

Arshdeep Singh became India's second-highest wicket-taker in men's T20Is

  • Arshdeep Singh became India's second-highest wicket-taker in men's T20Is with 92 wickets in 59 innings at an economy of 8.34, He is just short of four wickets Yuzvendra Chahal, who is the leading wicket-taker in the shortest format.
  • In the third T20I match of the series against South Africa, Arshdeep Singh surpassed Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to achieve the milestone, Bumrah has 89 wickets in T20Is from 69 innings at an economy rate of 6.27. 

24 Medals for India at FISU World University Championship Shooting 2024

  • The Indian shooters finished their campaign at the 2024 FISU World University Championship Shooting with a rich haul of 24 medals, including 9 gold, 9 silver, and 6 bronze.
  • The FISU World University Championship Shooting 2024 was held at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in Tughlakabad, New Delhi, from 9-13 November 2024. It was organised by the International University Sports Federation, known by its French acronym FISU and hosted by India.

An MoU signed by India and Russia to cooperate on Pantsir air defence systems

  • An agreement (MoU) has been signed between Russia's leading arms exporter and an Indian state-owned defence company to cooperate on jointly developed versions of the Pantsir air defence missile and gun system.
  • Leading state-owned defence company Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) had signed an MoU with Russia's leading arms export agency Rosoboronexport for cooperation on the Pantsir variants.
  • The MoU was signed by BDL Chairman and Managing Director Commodore (Retd) A. Madhavrao and Deputy Director General of the Naval Department of Rosoboronexport German Kovalenko, It was signed at the 5th India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission (IRIGC) Subgroup meeting in Goa.

Winners of the 2024 SaMaPa awards announced

  • Nityanand Haldipur, Shashi Vyas, Kamalini Dutt, Harish Tiwari and Bashir Aarif will be honoured at the upcoming edition of SaMaPa Awards.
  • They will be honoured during the 20th SaMaPa Sangeet Sammelan, organized from November 22 to 24 at the Kamani Auditorium.

Mukesh Ambani listed in Fortune 100 Most Powerful Person in Business List

  • The influential American Fortune magazine has released its first 100 Most Powerful People in Business list. Elon Musk, the chief executive officer (CEO) and founder of Tesla and SpaceX tops the list, with Mukesh Ambani of India ranked 12th.
  • The list includes six Indian-born Americans- Microsoft CEO and Chairman Satya Nadella (3rd rank), Alphabet (Google) CEO Sundar Pichai (10th rank), Adobe CEO and chair Shantanu Narayen (52), YouTube CEO Neal Mohan (69 rank), Khosla Ventures managing partner and founder Vinod Khosla(74 rank), and Tarang Amin CEO and founder of e.l.f. Beauty at 94th place.
