US to sell High Altitude Anti-Submarine Warfare sonobuoys to India
- The US has decided to sell High Altitude Anti-Submarine Warfare (HAASW) sonobuoys worth USD 52.8 million to India. It will enhance India’s capacity to conduct anti-submarine warfare operations from its MH-60R helicopters. The proposed sale will also strengthen the US-India strategic and defence relationship.

PM Modi to flag off 6 new Vande Bharat trains
- Prime Minister Modi flagged off six Vande Bharat trains at Tatanagar Junction Railway Station around 10 am, September 15, the six new routes that these trains will cover are Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah and Gaya-Howrah.

Neeraj Chopra clinches silver in Diamond League, falls just 1cm short of gold
- Javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra narrowly missed out on reclaiming the Diamond League Trophy finishing just one centimetre behind the champion, Chopra’s best throw of 87.86 metres came in his third attempt, falling short of Grenada’s Anderson Peters, who secured the title with an 87.87-metre throw on his first try.
