Inaugural India-Philippines Maritime Dialogue

• The inaugural India-Philippines Maritime Dialogue was held on December 13 in Manila. The event coincided with 75 years of diplomatic relationship between both countries.

 World Hindu Economic Forum begins in Mumbai

• Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the World Hindu Economic Forum in Mumbai for three days, Delegates from various fields across the globe are attending this summit.
• This is one of the biggest assemblies of industrialists, businessmen, startups, and entrepreneurs from the Hindu community under one roof. The theme of this year's forum is ‘Think in future, for the future’. The World Hindu Economic Forum was started in 2012 in Hong Kong. It was organized in Bangkok in 2023.

Assam CM lays foundation for 220 crore Jorhat town water supply scheme

• Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone for the Jorhat town water supply scheme and also launched a series of transformative initiatives, aimed at fostering growth and progress in the Jorhat district.

• Mukesh Ambani, the richest Asian, has announced the appointment of Ira Bindra as the new Group President of entire people, leadership and talent piece at Reliance Industries Ltd as he looks to pivot people policies at the oil-to-telecom conglomerate. 

Manish Jain Appointed Executive Director at YES Bank

• YES Bank announced that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had approved the appointment of Manish Jain as the Executive Director (Whole-Time Director) of the bank. Jain’s appointment is for a period of three years, starting from December 11, 2024, to December 10, 2027.
