US to send anti-missile system and troops to Israel

• The United States will send U.S. troops to Israel along with an advanced U.S. anti-missile system, in a highly unusual deployment meant to bolster the country’s air defenses following missile attacks by Iran.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Inaugurates Marathi Bhasha Bhavan & Various Development Works in Mumbai

• Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde performed bhoomipujan and inauguration of Marathi Bhasha Bhavan in Navi Mumbai and various development works in Mumbai city, on the occasion, the CM also inaugurated various development projects for the city.

India to hoist Junior World Cup of shooting in 2025

• The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) President Luciano Rossi confirmed that India will host the ISSF Junior World Cup in 2025. Rossi was addressing a press conference, ahead of the ISSF World Cup Final Rifle/ Pistol/ Shotgun in New Delhi. 

India beat Taipei to win women’s single Bendigo International Challenge badminton tournament

• India’s Tanya Hemanth beat Tung Ciou-Tong of Taipei in straight games to win the women’s singles title at the Bendigo International Challenge badminton tournament in Bendigo, Australia.

• World Standards Day (or International Standards Day) is an international day celebrated on 14 October each year. The day honours the efforts of the thousands of experts who develop voluntary standards within standards development organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME),[2] International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) etc.
