Alix Didier Fils-Aime Sworn in as New Prime Minister of Haiti
- Businessman Alix Didier Fils-Aime has been sworn in as Haiti’s new prime minister, vowing to address the country’s critical security issues and restore stability, He was formally appointed by a presidential council after it fired the Caribbean nation’s interim PM.

Four-day-long Akhil Bhartiya Kalidas Samaroh, begin in Ujjain
- Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar visited Madhya Pradesh to inaugurate/attend the 66th Akhil Bhartiya Kalidas Samaroh, which commenced on Tuesday (November 12) in Ujjain.
- The Vice-President, who is the chief guest, will address the gathering of dignitaries, including Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on this occasion.
- The four-day-long event will start at 4 pm and cultural activities will begin around 7 pm on Tuesday. The concluding ceremony will be held on November 18.
DRDO conducted the maiden flight test of Long Range Missile (LRLACM) from the coast of Odisha
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Tuesday (12 November) successfully conducted the maiden flight test of the Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, off the coast of Odisha.
C-295 Full Motion Simulator Inaugurated at Air Force Station Agra
- Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command, inaugurated the Indian Air Force (IAF) C-295 Full Motion Simulator (FMS) facility at Air Force Station Agra. The facility allows a significant part of pilot training to be conducted in a controlled environment, thus saving crucial flying hours on actual aircraft.

Tayyab Ikram elected President of the International Hockey Federation
- Tayyab Ikram has been re-elected for another term as President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) at the 49th FIH Statutory Congress in Muscat, Oman. Pakistan-born Ikram took over for a two-year term in 2022 after Narinder Batra resigned midway through his tenure.

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal releases book titled ‘Maa-Mother’
- Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal today released a book titled ‘Maa-Mother’ in New Delhi, in the presence of Kerala Governor, Arif Mohammed Khan and West Bengal Governor Dr C.V Anand Bose.
- The book is written by Dr Davendra Kumar Dhodawat, Additional Secretary to the Governor of Kerala. The book includes an illustration of motherhood in the form of poems that are written in Hindi and English. It also delves into the untold story of the love and affection of mothers.
Ramachandra Guha's new book on India's history and nature
- Speaking With Nature: The Origins of Indian Environmentalism is a book Authorized by Ramachandra Guha, and Published by Fourth Estate. The premise of this collection of essays on prominent naturalists, mainly Indian, is notable, needed and quite frankly, inspirational. It contests effectively the widely held notions that love for nature and the creation and adoption of methods that help the environment are western constructs and inventions that India has adopted.

RBI introduced a framework for the reclassification of FPI to FDI
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) introduced a framework to allow foreign portfolio investors to convert their investments to foreign direct investment (FDI).
- FPI can be converted into equity holdings in Indian companies after the 10% investment limit, Currently, FPIs can hold a maximum of 10% of an Indian company’s total paid-up equity capital, After the 10% investment, FPIs have two choices divesting the surplus shares or reclassifying them as FDI.
- RBI’s new framework mandates that this reclassification will be finalized within five trading days from the date of settlement of the trades causing the breach.
L&T bags over Rs 15,000 crore NTPC order for thermal power plants
- Engineering conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday informed the exchanges that it has received a ‘limited notice to proceed’ (LNTP) from NTPC for setting up thermal power plants worth over Rs 15,000 crore, L&T does not disclose the exact value of its order win. However, analysts estimate it to be around Rs 15,000 crore - Rs 22,000 crore.
