Maharashtra to establish center of Excellence in AI

  • An Agreement (MoU) was signed between National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and Government of Maharashtra in New Delhi. The MoU aims to establish center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Internet of Things. 

India Launches ‘Study in India’ Campaign at UAE Education Show

  • India has officially launched its ‘Study in India’ campaign at the 20th International Education Show in Sharjah, marking a significant push to attract international students to its universities. Organized by EdCIL, a Miniratna company under the Ministry of Education, the campaign seeks to position India as a leading global education hub. 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Inaugurate 75 Infrastructure Projects by BRO

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated and dedicate to the Nation 75 infrastructure projects constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) at a cost of 2,236 crore rupees from Sukna. 

Kishan Reddy Inaugurated Rooftop Solar Power Plant at GSI Training Institute, Hyderabad

  • Union Minister of Coal and Mines, Shri Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Rooftop Solar Power System at Geological Survey of India Training Institute, Bandlaguda-Nagole, Hyderabad.

Noel Tata appointed chairman of Tata Trusts

  • Noel Tata has been appointed as the chairman of Tata Trusts, succeeding his half-brother, Ratan Tata, who led the Tata Group for decades and served as Chairman of Tata Trusts until his passing. Ratan Tata passed away on the evening of October 9, leaving behind a legacy that has greatly shaped the future of the Tata Group.

3rd Edition of Naval Innovation and Indigenisation Seminar to be held in Delhi

  • The 3rd edition of the Indian Navy’s Naval Innovation and Indigenisation Seminar, Swavlamban- 2024 will be held in New Delhi on the 28th and 29th of October. Defence Ministry said, the seminar is expected to provide new and substantial impetus to the innovation and indigenisation endeavour.

Nihon Hidankyo Organization Honored with the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize

  • The 2024 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Nihon Hidankyo, a grassroots Japanese organization of atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, for its efforts “to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons”.
