CUET UG Retest for Over 1,000 Candidates on July 19, Admit Cards Released

Overview: The National Testing Agency announced a retest for over 1000 CUET aspirants on July 19 in CBT mode. The CUET admit card for the retest is now available to download. The retest is for six states only, with 250 students from 1 school alone. 

The CUET admit card for the retest has been released and can be downloaded using the application number, date of birth (DoB), and security pin. The CUET UG retest is for those who raised grievances about the exam's conduct, which included: 

  • Receiving question papers in a language they did not opt for. 
  • Time loss due to the distribution of the wrong question paper.

CUET UG Retest 2024: Admit Card Live

The NTA previously released the provisional answer key for CUET Exam 2024 on July 7. It also announced a retest in response to the grievances submitted by candidates up to June 30 and those emailed between July 7th and 9th.

  • The retest will be conducted on July 19 in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
  • An e-mail has been sent to the candidates regarding their subject codes. 

The CUET admit card 2024 is available on the official website. As per the notification, the candidates must provide the details mentioned below to download the admit card:

  • Application number
  • Date of birth (DoB)
  • Security pin as displayed on the screen

Details mentioned on the CUET UG Admit Card 

The admit card will have the following details: 

  • Applicant's name
  • Roll number
  • Date of birth
  • Registration number
  • Examination city, and centre,
  • Selected subject with respective codes

Please check the photo, signature, and barcode on the admit card. Without these details, the card will be considered invalid.

Is CUET UG result out in 2024?

No. The results have not been announced yet. As per the notification, the CUET result was to be announced initially on June 30th. However, due to the controversy regarding alleged irregularities in other competitive exams like NEET-UG and UGC-NET, it has been delayed by over two weeks.

  • The provisional CUET answer key was released on July 7, but the agency has not yet provided a new date for the declaration of results. 
  • With the CUET UG retest in July in six other states, controversies regarding NEET-UG and UGC-NET paper leaks, etc., the results are likely to be delayed further as the final CUET answer key, one of the major prerequisites for the result declaration, has yet to be released. 

CUET UG Exam Challenges 

This year, over 13.4 lakh candidates registered for the CUET for admission to UG courses in 260+ central, state, deemed, and private universities. However, there were many logistical issues. 

  • These logistical issues led to a last-minute cancellation of the exam in Delhi. 
  • The exam was later rescheduled for the affected candidates in May only.
