With the highest number of applications and courses offered through CUET, the University of Delhi has specific criteria everyone must satisfy to be eligible for admission.

  • No age limit is imposed on applicants, and even those with a gap year are eligible.
  • The exam pattern for each course varies, and similarly, the CUET DU eligibility criteria too. 
  • Specific subject combinations are mandated for science programs and other specialized courses.

CUET DU Eligibility Criteria 2025

Appearing for the NTA CUET exam is the only way to enter Delhi University and its affiliated colleges. As per the new admission process, the best of four marks policy has been replaced by the best CUET score for DU admissions.

As said above, the eligibility criteria vary for each program. Hence, knowing the required eligibility for a particular course at DU is essential.

DU eligibility criteria 2025 for CUET is categorized under three parameters as explained below:

  • One language paper (compulsory)
  • 2-3 domain subjects (compulsory)
  • Minimum percentage in language paper

According to the Delhi University's CUET eligibility criteria 2025

  • There is no age limit for applying for the entrance exam, and DU does not impose any age eligibility requirement. 
  • To write CUET, you must have valid scores in class 12 from a recognized board/university. 
  • Students with a one-year gap can also apply at DU.

Before proceeding with the CUET application form, you must check the required eligibility criteria for admission to Delhi University. For the eligibility criteria, you must remember to 

  • Appear in CUET in the subject combination mentioned in the exam pattern.
  • Merit will be based on the CUET scores obtained from the combination of mentioned subjects.
  • You must have obtained a minimum 30% score in any language from List A in CUET.

CUET DU Eligibility Criteria for B.A Language Courses 2025

The eligibility criteria for DU UG courses for a BA degree with CUET exam pattern in national or foreign languages are below: 

  • For particular language courses, you must choose the particular language + Any three from Section II OR Any one from Section I + Any three from Section II.
  • For Eg: For BA (Hons) Punjabi, the subjects mapped are: Punjabi + Any three from Section II OR Any one from Section I + Any three from Section II; for BA(Hons) Persian, it is Persian + Any three from Section II OR Any one from Section I + Any three from Section II
  • Merit will be based on the best CUET score from any mentioned subject combinations.
  • Candidates who opted for Combination II for admission will be considered only if seats remain vacant after considering all the candidates who opted for Combination I.
