The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) UG 2025 controversy continues to make headlines. Aditya Singh, a candidate challenging the exam results, appeared before the Delhi High Court on Tuesday with an important update. He informed the Court that he plans to approach the Supreme Court to request a transfer of his case from the High Court.
Why the transfer? Singh pointed out that similar cases regarding the CLAT results are being heard in other High Courts. To streamline the process, he wants the Supreme Court to bring all these cases under one roof.

What’s the issue with CLAT UG 2025?
The story began when Aditya Singh flagged alleged errors in the CLAT UG 2025 question paper. Back on December 20, Justice Jyoti Singh, a single-judge of the Delhi High Court, acknowledged that there were clear mistakes in two out of five questions identified by Singh. She directed the Consortium of NLUs to revise the results and adjust the marks accordingly.
However, this didn’t resolve the matter entirely. Both Singh and the Consortium of NLUs have challenged the ruling for different reasons.
- The Consortium’s argument: The single-judge ruling overstepped the boundaries. They believe the Court shouldn’t interfere with answers reviewed and finalised by subject experts.
- Singh’s appeal: He wants corrections for all five questions, not just two. According to him, the errors in the remaining three questions are also significant and need rectification.
What happened next?
On December 24, the Division Bench declined to pause the single-judge ruling. The Consortium was allowed to declare the revised results, but Singh wasn’t ready to give up. Today, he took another step forward by informing the Delhi High Court about his plans to approach the Supreme Court.
For now, the case is on hold at the Delhi High Court until January 30. Everyone’s attention now turns to the Supreme Court, which could decide whether all CLAT-related cases will be heard together.
