Overview: The Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET Law) is a state-level selection examination test conducted for admission to law-based courses for UG students, such as PU BA.LLB (Hons.)
The Panjab University will commence registration for PUCET Law 2025 soon. Students can apply for the PU BA LLB entrance exam by filling out the application form and providing basic details like their education qualification, communication address, etc.
The Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET Law Exam) is being conducted for admission into the 5-year integrated course. Panjab University offers two courses: BA.LLB (Hons) and BCom.LLB (Hons). The PUCET Law Notification 2025 has not been released yet, but you can check out https://uglaw.puchd.ac.in/ for the application form and further process.
Candidates are assessed in Subjects like English Language, Mental Ability, Legal Aptitude, GK, and Current Affairs. This exam is held in Chandigarh, Hoshiarpur, and Ludhiana. Candidates who qualify for the entrance exam must complete the online admission form and attend offline counselling.
Candidates must pay the PUCET Law 2025 application form fees to complete registration. Additional late fees will be charged if they cannot submit the PUCET Law application form within the prescribed time and format.

For the PU BA.LL.B Exam, candidates should have passed a 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD) from any recognized Board or university. As such, there is no upper age limit to apply for the PU BA.LL.B Law Entrance Exam.
Applicants who have obtained a 10+2 Higher Secondary Pass Certificate or First Degree Certificate after pursuing Studies in a distance or correspondence method shall also be considered eligible for admission in the Integrated Five Years Course.
The Candidates appearing for the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply, provided they qualify for the exam with the minimum prescribed marks by the time of admission.
The applicants who have obtained 10+2 through the open universities system directly without having any essential qualification for prosecuting such studies will not be eligible for admission in the law courses. This is per Rule 5(b) of the Bar Council of India Rules of Legal Education, 2008. The admission to the PU BA.LL.B Course shall be based on Merit of the Entrance Test and 10+2 marks and other admissible weightage.
The PU CET LAW Exam application is partly online and partly offline. The application process consists of the following steps:
The Panjab University Law Entrance Exam will consist of 100 questions. 1 Mark is allotted for each right answer, and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. The total mark of the paper is 100, and the duration of the exam is going to be 90 minutes.
The PUCET Law paper's 100-question set will include 60 questions testing General Knowledge and Current Affairs, 20 questions based on aptitude for law, 10 questions on mental ability, and 10 questions assessing English Language.
The question paper will be available in English, Hindi, and Punjabi (except for the portion "Proficiency in English Language").
Candidates must answer the questions on the provided OMR Answer sheet only, based on the rules in the Question Booklet and the OMR Answer sheet.

The Candidates must complete each section (Categories, Class +2, Weightages C Other Information, Documents) carefully and lock each section. ( Once the candidate has locked a particular section, you will not be allowed to change information in that section).
Kindly note the late date for completing the online admission form to be notified.
Candidates must print out the application form and submit it/send it along with the other required documents to the address(es) mentioned on the printout of the admission form.

The candidates will only be allowed to appear in the entrance test when they produce their Admit Card at the Test Centre. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the PU BA.LLB exam without the production of the admit card under any circumstances. The candidate must retain the Admit Card with themselves until the admission process is over. Therefore, the candidates must carry the admit card for the PU BA.LLB 2025 entrance exam to the examination hall.
The Admit Card will be issued to the candidate on a provisional basis only and at her/his sole risk and responsibility. If she/he is found to be ineligible later on, it will cancel her/his result or any other consequence emanating from the same.
The Entrance Test result will be available at http://results.puchd.ac.in and also at http://uglaw.puchd.ac.in. No separate Result Card will be issued. Only eligible candidates can apply for admission at http://uglaw.puchd.ac.in after the result is declared.

The PUCET Law 2025 exam will be a pen-and-paper test—the registration process for the PU BA. Candidates who do not belong to the state of Punjab are generally eligible to apply for the PUCET Law Exam. It is open to candidates from across India. As such, there are no state-specific residency requirements for eligibility. Typically, even residency in Punjab is not a requisite for PUCET Law 2025.
