The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, ideally releases the UCEED 2024 cut-off marks on the official website on February 08, 2024, before the counselling process starts.

As per the official notification, Part B will be assessed only for those who score above the Part A cut-off.

Note that the cut-off marks for UCEED will vary for different categories, and the closing and opening ranks may differ for participating institutes.

Expected UCEED Exam Cut Off 2024

UCEED Cut off scores will be released before the counselling process, which will released on February 08, 2024 for this academic year. 

• Cut off 2024 of General candidate: 57.63 + (24.52/2) = 69.89
• Cut off of OBC/ EWS: 0.9 x 69.89 = 62.90
• Cut off of SC/ ST/ PWD: 0.5 x 69.89 = 34.95

How is UCEED Cut Off 2024 Determined?

IIT Bombay has altered the formula to calculate the UCEED 2024 Cut Off. The new formula to calculate the cut-off marks is 𝜇 + (𝜎⁄2) = 𝛿, where 𝜇 and 𝜎 are the average marks and standard deviation of marks obtained by all the aspirants in Part A of the UCEED exam.

Note that the values of 𝜇 and 𝜎 will be rounded off for the first decimal place. You must fulfil a cut-off score if you belong to the reserved category.

The cut-off marks for different categories are calculated as mentioned below:

• 0.9𝛿 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
• 0.9𝛿 for EWS
• 0.5𝛿 for SC/ST
• 0.5𝛿 for PwD

Where 𝛿 is the UCEED cutoff marks for the open category. 

• Part-B paper of those candidates who are not shortlisted shall not be evaluated.
• All shortlisted candidates will get a rank.
• The evaluated answer booklets of Part-B will not be shared with the candidates.
• Answer booklets of Part - B will be preserved ONLY for a period of three months from the date of declaration of UCEED results. 
• The evaluation of Part-B will be done manually by at least two expert evaluators separately and independently.
• If the difference is 12 marks (20%), the answer sheet of Part B will be evaluated by a third expert examiner (and so on until the difference <= 20%).
• A simple average of the closest of two evaluators will be selected as the final marks.
• If the difference in marks between the moderator and either of the examiners is the same, then the higher average will be considered for the calculation of score.
• The total UCEED score will be calculated by adding the marks obtained in Part-A and Part-B.
• This total score will be used to prepare the final result/rank. 
• UCEED 2024 Question Paper and Draft Answer Key will be released on the UCEED website.

The rank list of UCEED 2024 is prepared based on your marks in Parts A and B of the exam.

Your name will be included in the rank list only if you score the minimum prescribed marks by the conducting - IIT Bombay.
