Telangana Civil Judge Selection Process 2025

As per the notification, there are a total of three stages involved in the selection process of the Telangana High Court Civil Judge post: Prelims, Mains, and Viva-voce. All three phases of the exam are qualifying in nature.

Prelims

To shortlist the candidates, the High court will conduct the screening test for 100 marks. The question paper comprises 100 multiple-choice questions, and each question carries one mark.

• It is known that the prelims exam is an objective type.
• As per the Telangana PCS J Selection Process, the candidates scoring above 40% of marks in the screening test will get shortlisted for the Mains exam.

Mains

Candidates who will be shortlisted in the prelims exam are eligible to appear for the Mains examination. In the Mains Telangana Civil Judge selection process, candidates' proficiency and knowledge will be tested on civil law, criminal law, and English.

• The exam consists of three papers, each with 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks.
• Candidates scoring more than 60% of marks in the written exam are called for the next stage of the selection process, i.e., Viva-voce.

Viva-Voce

The candidates in the general category must secure more than 60% of marks, and candidates in the SC/ST category must score more than 50% in both prelims and Mains to qualify for Viva-voce.

• The Viva-voce is conducted for a total of 50 marks.
• The final selection of the candidate is based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Mains exam and viva-voce.
