Telangana High Court released the official notification of the Telangana Judicial services to fill 87 vacancies in the Civil Judge cadre, out of which 70 are to be filled through direct recruitment and 17 by transfer.
Candidates applying for the exam must go through the detailed Telangana Judiciary Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023.

Telangana Judiciary Eligibility: Age Limit & Age Relaxation
According to the Telangana Judiciary Age Limit, candidates aged between 23-26 years as of 01 July 2020 are eligible to apply under Telangana Judiciary direct recruitment. In contrast, the candidate's age should not exceed 48 years as on 01 July 2020, applying under recruitment by transfer.
- For physically handicapped students whose upper age limit is 35 years is relaxable by 10 years as per the Telangana State Judicial (Service & Cadre) Rules, 2017.
- In the Telangana Judiciary Direct Recruitment, candidates are excluded from determining the age if they are served in the defence services of the Indian union and who is otherwise qualified and suitable, the period of service rendered by them in the defence service.
Telangana Judiciary Eligibility: Educational Qualification
The candidates must hold a degree in Law from a recognized university in India and must have experience of 3 years as an advocate to apply for the Telangana Judiciary under Direct Recruitment.
Candidates applying through recruitment by transfer must possess a Law degree from any recognized university established by Law in India or an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission as per the Telangana Judiciary Qualification.
Telangana Judiciary Eligibility: Nationality
According to the TS Judicial Services Eligibility, a candidate must be a citizen of India and read and write the Telugu language to apply for the post of Civil Judge.
As per the notification, candidates who are not a citizen of India are not eligible to apply for the Telangana Judicial Services Exam.

Telangana Judiciary Eligibility - Age Limit
Candidates in the OC category should have obtained 25 years of age and not exceeded 35 years. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, socially and educationally backward classes must not have exceeded 40 years of age as on 01 July 2023.
Telangana Judiciary Eligibility - Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a degree of Law from any recognized university in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act, or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission and enrolled in the Bar Council of any other state.
- The candidate must have been practising as an advocate for more than 3 years on the date of notification.
- The candidate must be a law graduate and have secured a minimum of 60% marks, which is 55% for reserved category candidates. They must have obtained a Degree in Law within 3 years before the date of Notification.
- Under the category of fresh law graduates, a person who has enrolled as an advocate but does not have 3 years of practice would be eligible to appear in the recruitment for the post of Civil Judge.
- A candidate must have good character to qualify for the Civil Judge post.

According to the Telangana Judiciary Exam Eligibility, the candidate must be a citizen of India to apply for the post of Civil Judge.
- Candidates are not eligible if they are dismissed from service by any High Court, Government, and Statutory or Local Authority.
- Also, candidates having more than one living spouse, convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude, directly or indirectly influence the recruitment authority by any means of their candidature, marries knowing a person having a spouse, or have been permanently debarred by the High Court or Union Public Service Commission or any State Public Service Commission or any other recruiting authority are not eligible to appear for the upcoming exam.

- A person who is facing disciplinary proceedings/criminal proceedings or under suspension from service or has undergone any punishment or is undergoing punishment for any irregularity in the discharge of his/her duties shall be eligible for appointment by recruitment by transfer

- Chief Administrative Officers, Senior Superintendents, Superintendents, Stenographers Grade - I, II, & III, senior assistants, junior assistants, and typists of the judicial ministerial service of the State of Telangana.
- Assistant public prosecutors, senior assistant public prosecutors, additional public prosecutors, additional public prosecutors Grade-II, of prosecution services of the State of Telangana.

The Telangana High Court released the Telangana Judiciary Application Form on the official website. All the candidates are advised to fill out the online form before the last date.

- Telangana PCS J Application form contains two parts: Part A and Part B. Candidates must fill both parts to apply for the Civil Judge post.

This year, 87 vacancies have been released to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Civil Judge in the Telangana High Court.
