What is the NMAT Exam?

Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is a computer-based test conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).

The GMAC NMAT Score is considered for admission to top business schools in India, South Africa, the Philippines, Nigeria, and Morocco.

Over 75,000 candidates participate in the NMAT entrance exam every year. Along with NMIMS Mumbai and its other campuses, over 50 other B-Schools to Accept NMAT 2024 Score for MBA Admission 2025

• NMAT is considered one of the friendliest MBA entrance exams because candidates can take it thrice a year. 
• The three attempts include the first attempt and two retakes. Once the first attempt has been completed, the retakes are only available on the dashboard.

NMAT Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the NMAT exam 2024, a candidate must fulfil the following minimum eligibility criteria:

• There is no maximum age limit to appear for the Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test 2024. The GMAC has not set any restrictions on the candidate's age.
• Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree (10+2+3/4) and have a graduation score of at least 50%.
• Candidates in their final year of college can apply for the Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test 2024. Still, their admission will be provisional until they provide their graduation scores.
• There is no specific instruction on work experience for applicants. Freshers can also apply for the NMAT 2024 Exam; however, colleges prefer applicants with two to three years of experience in the field.
• GMAC does not offer a reservation policy, but colleges provide reservation-based admissions. Hence, the registration fee is the same for all applicants.

NMAT Exam 2024 Registration & Application Process

The key points to note about the NMAT Exam 2024 Application Process are:

Step 1: Fill out the NMAT application form 2024 at NMAT by GMAC by visiting www.nmat.org. Complete the registration process by paying the registration fee. Remember your NMAT by GMAC™ registration number. The registration number is a prerequisite for applying to any B-school accepting an NMAT score.

Step 2: Register at NMIMS or any other b-school you wish to be admitted to and enter your NMAT by GMAC™ registration number. And complete the application process. Completing the application process requires paying the registration fees (as applicable). The registration fee is non-refundable. Candidates must register only once; the NMAT by GMAC™ application scores will be used for further selection.

NMAT Exam 2024 Pattern

The Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test consists of three main sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logic Reasoning. The key highlights of the GMAC NMAT exam pattern are:

• The NMAT Exam by GMAC has a sectional time limit. Candidates have to attempt each section within a specific time limit.
• Candidates can choose the order or the sequence of the sections at the beginning of the exam. 
• For every correct answer, candidates are awarded three marks. 
• There is no negative marking in the NMAT exam 2024.
• The NMAT questions are selected randomly from a pool. The difficulty level remains predetermined, irrespective of the NMAT exam date and location.

How do you self-schedule the NMAT 2024 exam date and slot?

A candidate can schedule his exam based on his preferences online on the official GMAC NMAT website. The step-by-step process for the same is:

Step 1: Click the “NMAT by GMAC Dashboard” button to visit the Candidate Dashboard. Select the preferred date among the given exam dates and schedule your exam at the earliest. 

Step 2: Select the exam mode as the test centre.

Step 3: To access the scheduling, click the Book Exam button. 

Step 4: Select the country and the city seal, etc., the test centre, and then the date and time when you wish to appear for the exam. 

Step 5: After setting the NMAT exam date, you can download your admit card from the Candidate Dashboard.

NMAT Exam 2024 Admit Card

You can find the Admit Card tab from the NMAT by GMAC exam account, where you can download your NMAT admit card 2024. Here, it is essential to note that candidates must download a fresh copy of the admit card for each attempt. Also, one has to produce the admit card, the necessary IDs, and the confirmation email at any test centre and during an online proctored exam.

You can print your Admit Card with a photograph if GMAC has confirmed the payment. Kindly verify that the details on the printed photograph on your Admit Card are visible. If the photo is blank or not visible, contact the help desk or email nmatsupport@gmac.com to update the image. If the exam administrator cannot identify your photo, you will not be allowed to take the exam.

Kindly note that you must present this Admit Card to the proctor on the exam day. It would help if you did so to be allowed to take the exam.

NMAT Exam 2024 Retake

NMAT test takers usually retake exams to improve their scores if their exams do not go well due to unforeseen reasons. Also, candidates reschedule or retake their exams if they cannot appear on the original date. 

Retake payment and scheduling are available on your dashboard once you make the previous payment attempt and scheduling is enabled. Suppose you are willing to pay the retake fee. In that case, you can easily arrange the retake exam by clicking on Retake Exam and then choosing the place, date and time to attend the exam.

Suppose the student has attempted their examination and obtained the scorecard. In that case, you can only book your exam immediately but for a date after 15 days if you get a valid scorecard.

Suppose you have yet to pass the exam by yourself, and your score card says No Show, NDA refused, or exam incomplete only. In that case, you can reschedule it for any date after 24 hours.

NMAT Exam 2024 Results

• The GMAC will display the NMAT exam results by giving scores within 72 hours after attempting the test.
• The GMAC displays the scorecard of the NMAT exam within 2-3 days only after the candidates appear for the exam.
• The NMAT score is published on the official website of GMAC NMAT - mba.com.
• The scorecard consists of the scaled score from all the attempts.
• The GMAC sends an alert e-mail that your scorecard is available; once candidates receive the alert e-mail, they can log in with their credentials on the official website and download their scorecard.

NMAT Exam 2024 Cut-offs

• GMAC provides candidates with the NMAT exam cut-off scores; no percentiles are awarded.
• Colleges offering admission based on the NMAT entrance exam consider these NMAT scores rather than percentiles.
• The scores considered are the scaled scores.
• The expected cut-offs for top colleges accepting NMAT scores usually lie between 190 and 230.
