1. 4 weeks before: MAT exam is conducted in various modes (CBT, PBT, IBT)

What is the selection process

The MAT Selection Process based on the MAT Exam results starts as soon as the results are announced. The selection process is almost similar to that with CAT.

• Applying for Admission Based on the MAT scores, candidates can apply to MAT participating institutes for admission.
• The admission process usually includes Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT).
• Those who clear the cut-off for their respective institute get forward to other rounds of GD-PI.
• For some institutes, the final merit list is prepared by adding the scores from the GK sections; while some colleges don’t consider it.
