CUET JNU Eligibility Criteria 2025
As per the latest announcement, the scores in the CUET exam will be accepted for admissions in B.A. (Hons.) in Foreign Languages, B.Sc. Programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiency Programmes of the University for the academic year.

CUET JNU Eligibility Criteria 2025 for B.A. Hons (Language Courses)
Before proceeding with the CUET application form, you must check the detailed JNU eligibility criteria for the BA (Hons.) Persian, Pashto, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, German, Russian, Spanish) program you aim for.
Age Limit
There is no upper age limit to apply for the B.A. (Hons.) program according to the JNU eligibility criteria for CUET.
However, your minimum age should be 17 as of 1st October 2025 to be eligible for admission.
Educational Qualification
1- You must have completed your class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized board/ university per the JNU eligibility criteria for CUET. Those appearing for class 12 in 2025 can also apply for the exam.
2- You must have obtained a Certificate of Alimiah issued by any of the following Madrasas subject to the condition that you have passed the English language at the level of Senior Secondary from a recognized Board/University or a three-year course conducted by Darul-Uloom Deoband. You will be eligible for CUET admission process in JNU if you fulfill the CUET JNU eligibility criteria set by the university.

Minimum Qualifying Marks
According to the CUET JNU Eligibility Criteria 2025, you will require at least a minimum of 45% marks in class 12 or an equivalent exam.
Note:
Those who have already pursued a BA/MA language program in two or more Centres of the School during their entire academic career are not eligible for admission at JNU.
80% of the seats in the first year of the 3-year B.A.(Hons.) program is reserved for those who have either passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations in the year 2024 or appearing in 2025, and the remaining 20% are open to all other aspirants.
If you have obtained a Higher Secondary Certificate under the 10+1 pattern of education, you will be eligible for admission to the First-Year of the three-year B.A. program.
In addition to the criteria for JNU eligibility, you must go through the CUET exam pattern and subject selection for your desired course as the university specifies some of the mandatory subjects that you must appear in when you take the exam.
Does JNU accept CUET for BTech?
No, JNU does not accept CUET scores for BTech programme admissions. The admissions to B.Tech are only done through JEE Mains exam and thus JNU eligibility criteria for CUET is not applicable for BTech courses. However, you can other CUET engineering colleges to pursue engineering.
CUET JNU Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc-M.Sc. Integrated Program in Ayurveda Biology
If you are seeking admission to B.Sc- M.Sc. Integrated Program in Ayurveda Biology at JNU through the CUET, you should satisfy the following criteria for JNU eligibility in terms of qualification and minimum qualifying marks.
Educational Qualification
You must have passed class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
If you belong to the general category, you must have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent exams.
Aspirants belonging to the OBC category (non-creamy layer) will be given a 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination compared to the open category.
If you are from SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) category and passed the qualifying examination, you can apply for the exam irrespective of your percentage of marks.
CUET JNU Eligibility Criteria for COP (Mongolian, Bhasha Indonesia, Urdu, Pashto, Uzbek, Hebrew)
You should satisfy the following JNU eligibility criteria for CUET to be eligible for the COP program at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Educational Qualification
You should have completed senior secondary school (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognized university or board.
Suppose you have obtained a Higher Secondary Certificate under the 10+1 pattern of education. In that case, you can also apply for admission to the COP programs if you have successfully completed the first year of the Bachelor's degree examination at a University under the 10+1+3 pattern of education.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
As per the CUET JNU eligibility criteria, you will require at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
How much marks required in CUET for JNU?
