The Common Admission Test is one of the most prestigious and toughest entrance exams. It will be conducted in three shifts across 170 cities. The last date for CAT registration has been extended to 20 September 2024. Aspiring candidates can register for the exam on the official website at iimcat.ac.in before the 5:00 PM deadline.
Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate and fellow/doctorate level business courses in renowned MBA colleges, universities, and IIMs can select up to 5 cities in the application form for test centre allotment.

Follow the CAT Registration Steps to Apply
Register yourself for the CAT exam before the deadline. Follow the simple steps to apply before the CAT registration last date!
Step 1: First, go to the official CAT website at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Then click on the 'New Candidate Registration' link, followed by the Register tab.
Step 3: Next, fill in your name, date of birth, email ID, mobile phone number, and nationality.
Step 4: Verify your registration by clicking 'Generate OTP'.
Step 5: After that, upload the required documents and pay the fee.
Step 6: Double-check all the details and then click on submit.
Step 7: Finally, after saving and downloading the application form, print it out for your records.

CAT Registration Application Fee
Each category has a different CAT registration fee. The candidates belonging to the SC/ST and PwD categories must pay INR 1250/- while those belonging to the General and OBC categories need to pay INR 2,500/- as application fees.

CAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the CAT exam, applicants should have completed a bachelor's degree in any field. Individuals waiting for their results or in their final year of undergraduate studies can also apply. The CAT exam has no age limit; candidates of any age can apply, provided they have the minimum academic eligibility.
CAT Exam Syllabus
The CAT exam will consist of three main sections: verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR), and quantitative aptitude (QA). Each section will focus on testing different skills and knowledge areas.
