Transparency and Challenges

During these two days, candidates were solicited to key in any disputes against the provisional answer key. The subject matter experts then checked such disputes and prepared the final results based on the verified answer key.

Result Analysis

The exam results expose the competitiveness in the UGC-NET June 2024 test as only 4,970 out of 6,84,224 who appeared for the exam qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship to make them eligible for research fellowships and Assistant Professor positions besides 53,694 who qualified only for the position of Assistant Professor and 1,12,070 who qualified only to gain admission for PhD programmes.

Post-Result Processes

For the eligible candidates, NTA reiterated that their eligibility conditions, self-declarations, and other additional documents submitted along with the applications will be verified as mentioned in the norms in the official Information Bulletin of UGC-NET June 2024. The NTA will soon provide them with the certificates of those who have qualified so that they can forward themselves for their respective academic and research opportunities.
