NLU Delhi Announces AILET 2025: Applications Open for UG and PG Law Programs

New Delhi, August 1, 2024 – The National Law University (NLU) Delhi has officially announced the release of the notification for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025. The prestigious examination will be held on December 8, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The AILET is the gateway for admission to the university's various law programs, including the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses. NLU Delhi, a premier law institution established in 2008, invites applications from aspiring law students across the country.

AILET UG Programs

  1. B.A. LL.B. (Hons.):

    • Eligibility: Candidates must have completed the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks (42% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST).
    • Seats: 110 seats on AILET merit, with an additional 10 seats reserved for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates.
  2. B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) - Non-Residential:

    • Eligibility: Similar to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program.
    • Seats: 50 seats on AILET merit, with an additional 10 seats reserved for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates.

Both programs also have supernumerary seats for Kashmiri Migrants and Residents of Jammu & Kashmir, pending finalization with the Bar Council of India (BCI).

AILET PG Programs

  1. LL.M. (One Year) Non-Residential:

    • Eligibility: Candidates must have an LL.B. or an equivalent law degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities).
    • Seats: 70 seats on AILET merit, with an additional 10 seats reserved for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates.
  2. Joint Masters/LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law and Management (Non-Residential):

    • Eligibility: Candidates must have completed an LL.B. or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
    • Seats: 25 seats for Indian Nationals and 10 for Foreign Nationals, with additional supernumerary seats for officials of the CGPDTM.

The university also offers a Ph.D. program in law and related social sciences, with specific eligibility criteria and seat allocations.

Application Process and Key Dates

  • Issue of Admit Cards: November 28, 2024
