IIT Bombay has released the schedule officially on its official website. UCEED seats will be assigned based on your current year's UCEED rank, category, and institute preferences.

There are three rounds of seat allocation for UCEED 2024, and the seat allocation through UCEED will be completed once the UCEED seats are filled.

The seat allotment process will be conducted online as a joint admission process to 5 participating universities - IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IITDM Jabalpur.

UCEED 2024 Seat Allotment Process

After the online application for the UCEED B.Des program is submitted, the UCEED Seat Allotment Process 2024 has three stages.

• Seat allocation for UCEED will be based on rank, category, and preference.
• Provisional allocation letters will be provided to you via your registered email.
• You must pay INR 60,000 as a Seat Acceptance Fee.
• SC/ ST/ PWD applicants would be asked to pay an online seat acceptance fee of INR 15,000/-.

UCEED Seat Allotment Guidelines

The following rules will govern the UCEED Joint Seat Allotment process:

• Your application will be cancelled if you do not remit the seat acceptance fee before the deadline or decline admission. These vacant seats will be filled in the subsequent rounds of Seat Allotment 2025. 
• If you are allotted your FIRST choice of institute, you can either ACCEPT ('freeze') the choice or DECLINE the offer. If you choose to DECLINE the offer, you will NOT be considered for subsequent rounds. 
• Suppose you are allotted your SECOND/THIRD/FOURTH choice of the institute. In that case, you can opt to either ACCEPT ('freeze') the choice or ACCEPT WITH THE OPTION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR UPWARD MOVEMENT ('float') the choice for the subsequent round(s), if any, of the joint seat allocation. 
• If you choose the 'freeze' option, it means you have ACCEPTED the offer and do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allocation, and you will NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of admission. 
• If you choose the 'float' option, it means you have ACCEPTED the offer and have indicated that you will accept admission to an institute of your higher preference. Otherwise, you will continue with the currently accepted institute. 
• If you choose the 'float' option, allocating a seat in an institute of your higher preference would automatically result in the forfeiture of the seat accepted by you in the earlier round. 
• You must remit the seat acceptance fee only once if offered a seat. Thus, those allotted another seat (because they chose the 'float' option) do not have to pay the seat acceptance fee again. 
• Suppose you have paid the seat acceptance fee and opted for withdrawal after the first round and one day before the announcement of the third round. In that case, you will get a refund after deducting seat cancellation and processing charges of ₹ 5000. 
• Refund requests after the announcement of the third round will not be entertained, and no refund shall be given after that. 
• After the last round of seat allocation is announced, you do not have the option to withdraw an accepted/allotted seat. 
• No refund is given post the 3rd round as there is no option of "float" of the seats after the 3rd round.
