Exam Day Guidelines for NID 2025 Entrance Exam

Admit card is an important document that is required at the time of the exam. Along with the NID Admit Card, you need to carry any valid photo IDs such as a Passport/Driving License/Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Voter ID.

The following are some important NID exam day instructions that you should follow on the exam day.

• Make sure to reach the exam centre at least one hour before the examination. 
• You need to carry your stationery to the NID entrance exam as exam authorities will not provide any stationery at the examination hall.
• Avoid talking inside the exam hall. You will be disqualified from the exam in case if found either copying or giving assistance to others.
• Do not carry electronic devices inside the examination centre.
• Maintaining social distance is a must at the exam centre. 
• Make sure to follow the rules instructed by the invigilator in the exam hall.

Note that you cannot take the entrance test if you do not carry the admit card. National Institute of Design will allow only the following stationery that you can have inside the NID examination hall.

You should avoid bringing certain items to the NID Entrance Exam. Otherwise, you are not allowed to take the exam.

NID Exam Centers 2025

This year, the NID test will be held in 23 cities, including Shimla and Goa. The exam centres for NID will vary for prelims as well as Mains.  

You will be given the opportunity to select your preferred exam centre while filling the NID Application Form. However, the National Institute of Design reserves the right to add or remove any test centre and allot a test centre that may not be of your choice.  

A city may have more than one test centre. Also, any request for a change of test centre will not be entertained by the authorities.
