Now, let's talk about the preparation strategy for the Rajasthan judiciary from the point of view of the Rajasthan judiciary topper.

Preparation Strategy for the Rajasthan Judiciary’s Prelims Exam 2025

To prepare for the prelims exam, your primary concern should be to study bare acts with conceptual understanding thoroughly. For that, you should refer to Rajasthan Judiciary Books for specific important topics along with relevant case laws.

  • Solving the previous years’ question papers is really important. It helps prioritize the topics and definitely manage time. You can also refer to Singhal Publication’s book for Preliminary Examinations.
  • The other portion of the 30 questions in prelims consists of Hindi and English Grammar. For Hindi grammar, you can refer to NCERT books and RS Aggarwal for English Grammar.
  • The language portion is very scoring, so one must not take this lightly.
  • In a nutshell, timely revision of every subject is imperative.

Preparation Strategy for the Rajasthan Judiciary’s Mains Exam 2025

Since the RJS Syllabus is wide and extensive, You should adopt a selective study approach for the Mains exam. You should develop a habit of reading reference books during your college days, which will help you solve application-based questions in the examination this year.

  • For the law portion, try to gain command over the statutory provision's language, conceptual clarity, and thorough knowledge of relevant cases.
  • For article writing, prepare articles on certain legal and social issues, including current issues like the right to privacy, triple talaq, GST, and demonetization. Similarly, prepare essays and articles on various topics related to Rajasthan.
  • It would be best if you emphasized writing fact-based essays more so that you can present general knowledge and factual information about that particular topic. This simple technique can give you an edge over other candidates.
  • The topics of essays are quite predictable, and one can easily prepare for those limited topics without wasting much time on language papers.
  • For judgment writing, you should take proper guidance and practice more and more of it. This is one crucial area, and one should not skip it.
  • You can get certified copies of a few original judgments of Magistrates and Session courts and practice judgment writing regularly. I used to write one criminal and one civil judgment every week. Apart from this, questions relating to framing of charge, plaint drafting, and written statements are also asked in the exam.

Preparation Strategy for the RJS 2025 Interview

Interview in RJS covers 35 marks. The RJS interview is more like presenting what you are. It does not require any separate set of preparation.

You just need to brush up on basic concepts of law and other recent legal developments. There is no particular strategy for the interview as anything and everything can be asked.

So just be yourself, stay calm and look confident. Be humble and polite in the interview. Do not be overconfident. Accept your mistake then and there. Simply say NO if you’re not sure about any question.

Most Important strategies for preparation of Judicial Services Examinations

As per RJS Exam Preparation Tips by Judiciary Goldyour first focus should be on the primary laws, i.e., the Constitution, IPC, CrPC, Evidence, and CPC, as the majority of questions are asked from these subjects. After getting thoroughly familiar with these, you should focus on minor subjects, i.e., the Indian Contract Act, the Specific Relief Act, and the Transfer of Property Act.

  • While preparing notes in your own language, focus on Bare Acts, Commentaries and Leading Case Laws.
  • After studying all the subjects, prepare for the previous year's exams and do as many mock tests as possible. Make sure you do not answer the questions subject-wise and do it as a whole.
  • You should develop a habit of studying law primarily from Bare Acts. Take the help of text/reference books to note the essentials of legal provision and the leading cases, if any, for each essential. Read the explanation and proviso attached to the main provision carefully.
  • Illustrations appended to the Sections are very important for clearly understanding the provisions and exceptions, so never miss them. Simultaneously, try to memorize ‘which Section deals with what’; this is very important for cracking prelims. It may be a difficult task, but it must be done at least for all the important provisions.
  • Prepare short notes on each important topic, outlining the relevant legal provisions, their content, main cases and exceptions. Try to keep it as concise as possible. These notes will prove to be the most useful tool for a quick revision during the entrance and main exams because as you browse through these short notes, you will recall almost all the relevant information you have studied before. Failure to review the material before the exam seriously reduces your chances of making a choice.
  • Keep your syllabus and previous year's question papers with you, and research to understand how questions are asked. This will give you an idea of which study area you need to focus more on. But at the same time, do not waste time guessing from your previous work what topics are most likely to be asked in the upcoming exam. The questions may or may not be repeated at the next exam.
