The  NMIMS Mumbai Law College conducts its entrance exam, the NMIMS - LAT Exam, for non-CLAT aspirants who wish to secure admission, and for those candidates who have appeared for the CLAT, the CLAT scores are considered for admission.

You are required to follow the following steps for the NMIMS-LAT Exam: 

  • Visit the official website of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).
  • Click on the link ‘NMIMS LAT Application Form 2025’.
  • Click on the link ‘Apply online’ to fill out the application form.
  • Enter the Student’s Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, and Mobile Number.
  • Enter the captcha and click on the "Submit" button. You will get your login details.

You are required to follow the following steps for the CLAT Exam

  • CLAT Registration: Candidates should register for CLAT through its official website only, fill out the application form, upload necessary documents, and pay the application fee. 
  • CLAT Preparation: Candidates must prepare for CLAT since it can be among the most challenging and competitive exams. 
  • CLAT Exam structure: The aptitude of the CLAT candidate is tested in various areas, such as legal reasoning, logical reasoning, English, quantitative techniques, and general knowledge. 
  • CLAT Examination: Appear for the CLAT as per the schedule. 
  • CLAT Result: Candidates are shortlisted for CLAT counselling based on the scores obtained in the exam. 
  • The Merit list will be declared based on CLAT 2026 results & the programme/campus preference for the course.
  • The merit list will be put up on NMIMS per the critical timeline & dates.

 For LLM Admission, the scores of any of the following exams will be considered:

NMIMS Mumbai Law College Eligibility criteria 

The NMIMS Mumbai Law College has the following eligibility criteria:

BA.LLB (Hons). & BBA.LLB (Hons)

  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must have at least 50% aggregate marks in their 10+2 or equivalent examination to get admission at NMIMS Mumbai Law College.
  • For the CBSE/ICSE Students: The aggregate percentage should include marks for all subjects taken and appeared for, not just the best four, five, six, or seven. All subjects must be passed in one attempt to get admission at NMIMS Mumbai Law College.
  • Percentile-Based Mark Sheets: If a mark sheet reflects percentile(s), the actual aggregate percentage shall be considered for eligibility.
  • Age Limit: Candidates over 25 are also eligible to apply.
  • GPA/CGPA Students: Candidates from Boards/Universities using GPA/CGPA grading systems must provide a written document from their respective institution and a conversion of their grades into percentages.
  • For International Students: Candidates who completed their 10+2 or equivalent overseas must submit an AIU equivalence certificate as proof of their eligibility.
  • Single Mark Sheet Requirement: Only a single mark sheet showing all compulsory subjects passed will be accepted. Compartmentalized mark sheets will not be considered.
  • Provisional Mark Sheets: Candidates without a final mark sheet during admission must upload an internet copy or DG Locker result attested by their school principal. Failure to do so will result in admission denial at NMIMS Mumbai Law College.
  • Ungraded/Fail Subjects: Candidates will be ineligible if any subject is marked as ungraded or fail. If non-mandatory/additional subjects are marked as absent/ungraded, the candidates will still be eligible if their Board declares them passed.
  • Appearing Students: Candidates currently appearing for their 10+2 examination can also apply, but they must meet the minimum eligibility criteria and submit all required documents in the given time frame.
  • Mandatory Subjects: Candidates must appear for and pass all mandatory subjects as per program-specific eligibility requirements to secure admission at NMIMS Mumbai Law College. 

For LLM:

  • The candidates must have completed an LL.B degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
