The selection process for Civil Judges in Rajasthan starts with a prelims examination, a mains examination, and an interview. The paper pattern and difficulty level are different for all three stages.

RJS Mains Exam Paper Analysis 2024

Judiciary Mains 2024 exam had a range of moderate to difficult questions. It thoroughly covered the RJS mains syllabus, including questions on the CrPC, the Indian Penal Code, and the Constitution of India.

The Rajasthan Judiciary Exam 2024, overseen by the Rajasthan High Court for the Civil Judge position, officially announced its notification on 9th April 2024. Starting from 9th April 2024, candidates can apply online.

Paper 1 & 2 Analysis:

Below is an analysis of the RJS Mains Exam Paper 1 & 2 for 2024.

  • The paper was not very tough, it was moderate.
  • Some students found the paper lengthy, but according to us the paper was of a decent length.
  • Maximum questions were from Transfer of Property Act in the civil law paper.
  • There were a few unexpected questions.
  • There was only one quesiton from Constitution of India.
  • CPC ws easy to moderate but lengthy.
  • Language paper has quesitons from new criminal laws
  • Essay was very expected and the difficulty level was easy.

Paper 3 & 4 Analysis:

Below is an analysis of the RJS Mains Exam Paper 3 & 4 for 2024.

  • Criminal Law and English paper was lenghty but the difficulty level was moderate.
  • There was a mixed review from the students, some found it difficult and technical whole other students found it lenghty but moderate.
  • Evidence act was problem based and CrPC quesitons was direct.
  • Judgement Writing was easy but because of the length of the paper it becase difficult for the students to attempt.
  • English was a little unpredectible and questions had a new format.
  • Other minor cirminal laws also had direct questions.

RJS Prelims Exam Paper Analysis 2024

The recent prelims paper for the RJS Examination was conducted in June 2024. We have provided a detailed review of the RJS exam prelims 2024 paper.

The overall difficulty level of the exam was easy to moderate. Based on the paper analysis, the expected Rajasthan Judiciary Cut Off is high.

An overall paper analysis:
1. Difficulty Level of the exam: Easy to Moderate, there were a few new surprise elements. The quesitons were direct from the bare act and landmark judgements
2. Surprise elements: There were more questions from Civil Procedure Code and Indian Evidence Act. Acts like Indian Contract Act
3. Judgements and Cases: The questions from landmark cases were easy to moderate. 2-3 questions from new cases were asked, however, the questions were easy
4. Length: The Paper was Lengthy making it difficult for most students to cover within the given time frame, however all the students who had practiced a lot of mocks found it easy to finish within the given time
5. Types of Questions: Questions were mostly bare act based and also there were a few illustration based questions
6. Difficulty level of English: Difficulty level was easy to moderate
7. Difficulty level of Hindi:  The questions were technical but easy to attempt

RJS Prelims 2021 Paper Analysis:

  • There was only one question on case laws, and most were based on definitions.
  • The questions related to significant laws such as the CrPC and the Indian Evidence Act were easier than those based on the Indian Penal Code.
  • Minor, Local, and unorthodox questions were also asked.
  • The paper is predicted to be easy even for students studying bare acts.
  • Also, there were questions on legal maxims, static to interpretation, and 90% of the inquiries related to local laws were durable.
  • There were a few random questions on the limitation act. However, the questions were easy to answer.
  • This is the first time a language paper's difficulty level was easy.
  • Analyzing the language paper, English was easy, and Hindi was comparatively difficult.

  • Overall difficulty level of the examination was moderate.
  • The questions were direct, and the language paper was comparatively easy.
