Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is a Computer-Adaptive Test conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) for admissions to some of the leading graduate business programs in emerging markets, including India, South Africa, the Philippines, Nigeria, and Morocco.
Being the most candidate-friendly MBA admissions exam, it offers the convenience and flexibility to choose dates as per convenience & improve scores with three attempts in a testing cycle.
The next date can only be scheduled after the first attempted paper.
Candidates are allowed to attempt retakes with a 15-day gap window.
Candidates can also reschedule the date and time of their NMAT exam within the 70-day test window.
It should be noted that NMIMS accepts the scores only on the first attempt of NMAT.

NMAT Exam Details: What is Scaled Score & Percentile Score?
Scaled Scores: The NMAT exam will ask questions based on the candidate's ability in previous sections. If your performance is strong on the initial questions, you will receive more difficult questions than candidates who have not performed as well in these sections. However, the NMAT exam carefully considers all participants' scores on a common scale to remove any discrepancies associated with the different levels of difficulty of the NMAT exam. In short, this means that the NMAT targets the specific ability level of each test taker, transforming the final NMAT results into a common score range of 36-360.
Final Percentile Scores: The authorities calculate the NMAT 2024 final percentile scores when all the students have appeared for the exam. After the exam's conclusion, the students' NMAT results are sent to the B-Schools they selected, and the sent NMAT Results are revised with the final percentile score.
NMAT Exam Details: What is the selection process for different colleges?
The Selection Process based on the NMAT Results starts after the results are announced.
Neither GMAC nor NMIMS offers unified counselling.
Institutes that accept NMAT scores handle counselling differently, depending on the NMAT cut-off, which is set independently by all institutes based on their selection criteria.
The selection process consists of different rounds of Group Discussion (GD), Case Discussions, Group Exercise (GE), and Personal Interview (PI).
Some colleges that accept students based on NMAT Results also require them to take a Written Ability Test of about 20 minutes to measure their ability to write and communicate.
Those who clear the NMAT cut-off for their respective institute get forward to other rounds of GD-PI.
The respective college organises the selection process based on the NMAT Results, and GMAC has no stake in it.
