NLU Delhi Releases AILET Counselling Schedule for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) 2025-26

The National Law University (NLU), Delhi, has released the detailed counselling schedule for admissions to its B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) programme for the academic year 2025-26.

The admissions will be conducted based on the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025 results, declared on December 12, 2024.

Seat Matrix and Reservations

The total intake for the programme is 120 seats, which includes 110 general category seats and 10 for Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO candidates. Within the general intake, reservations include:

  • General: 50 seats (3 for PwD)
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 24 seats (1 for PwD)
  • Scheduled Castes: 17 seats
  • Scheduled Tribes: 8 seats
  • Economically Weaker Sections: 11 seats (1 for PwD)

A horizontal 5% reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) is applied across all categories.

Counselling Timeline

The counselling process commences with an invitation to register online, extended to candidates approximately three times the number of seats available in each category.

Online counselling registration begins on December 13, 2024, and will continue until December 22, 2024. Registration fees are set at ₹30,000 for general category candidates and ₹20,000 for reserved categories.

Key dates include:

  • December 27, 2024: First merit list of provisionally selected candidates.
  • January 10, 2025: Second merit list.
  • January 23, 2025: Third merit list.
  • May 16, 2025: Fourth merit list, contingent on seat availability.

Provisionally selected candidates must pay an admission confirmation fee of ₹50,000 by the stipulated deadlines, which will be adjusted against the total fees.

Online Registration and Documentation

Candidates must register through the official AILET portal, upload required documents, and ensure payment confirmation.

NLU Delhi emphasizes timely actions to avoid disqualification due to missed deadlines or payment issues.

The counselling fee will be refunded for unadmitted candidates after March 15, 2025.
