What is an Integrated Program in Management?

Here are the key points about the Integrated Program in Management (IPM):

- The IPM is a 5-year residential course in management offered by IIM Indore and IIFT Kakinada.
- It combines undergraduate and postgraduate studies, resulting in a dual degree of BBA and MBA.
- The program focuses on integrating managerial science, decision-making, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
- Admission to the IPM is through the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) conducted by IIM Indore.
- The IPMAT Entrance Exam consists of two stages: an Aptitude Test and a Personal Interview (PI).
- Successful completion of the IPM leads to a Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) degree after 3 years and a Master of Business Administration (International Business) degree after 5 years, awarded by IIFT.
- The first three years of the program follow a semester system, while the last two years follow a trimester system.

IIFT IPM Program: Mode of Admission

• Admission to IIM Indore is on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination.
• The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the final selection test, followed by a written ability test (WAT) and a personal interview round. 
• This written ability test and personal interview were conducted physically at IIM Bangalore, IIM Chennai, IIM Delhi, IIM Kolkata, IIM Mumbai, and IIM Ranchi.
• But from 2020, due to the pandemic, the Written Ability test (WAT) has been removed from the admission process. Now, the candidate has to give only a personal interview in online mode.
• After the completion of the Personal Interview process, admission offers for IIFT will be made based on a Consolidated Merit List (CML), which will be prepared on the basis IPMAT score conducted by IIM Indore, Personal Interview round score, Academic Profile, and Gender diversity.

What is IPMAT?

The IIM Indore IPMAT aptitude test is divided into 2 sections, i.e. Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.

•  The Quantitative Ability section comprises 60 questions. Out of that 60 questions, 40 are objective-type questions (MCQs), and 20 are descriptive-type questions (Short answers type).
• The Verbal Ability sections comprise 40 objective-type questions (MCQs).
• The time allotted to complete the aptitude test is 120 minutes. These 120 minutes are divided into 3 parts of 40 minutes each.
• The mark allotted for each correct answer is 4 marks, and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
