IIM Ahmedabad Fees- PGP Programs

• The total programme fees for PGP students at IIM Ahmedabad are Rs 23,00,000/-, including Rs 16,99,000/- for tuition.
• Laptops, computers, and personal expenses such as onboarding, travel, clothes, and laundry are extra.
• The total programme fees for the 2022-2024 batch may increase further by 5 to 7%. 

IIM Ahmedabad Admission Process 2024 

The selection of the candidates for admission to the 2024-26 Batch of the PGP at IIMA is a two-step process:

STEP 1: Preliminary Screening

All candidates must take the CAT 2024 examination. The exam is conducted in November every year, and the results are announced later.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on CAT scores and fulfilling the minimum cutoffs. 

CAT-2023 will have three sections

• Quantitative Ability (QA)
• Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
• Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC).

Only the candidates above the following minimum cut-offs in the sectional and overall percentile ranks and those who obtain a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections will be considered for all the subsequent stages.

The applicant's ‘Application Rating’ (AR) score will be used at different stages of the selection process.

An applicant’s AR score is the sum of the rating scores based on their percentage of marks obtained in the 10^th standard, the 12^th standard (depending upon the stream, viz., ‘Science’, ‘Commerce’ and ‘Arts & Humanities’), the bachelor’s degree program (depending upon the discipline) and work experience (as on July 31, 2023) respectively.

For different streams/disciplines, the equivalent ARs are arrived at by using a (sort of) percentile equivalence of the score distributions using the previous year’s CAT data.

STEP 2: Shortlisting for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI)

Shortlisting will be carried out in two stages:

• Stage 1: From the Applicants’ pool: Selection of exceptional performers across different disciplines
• Stage 2: After removing the candidates selected in Stage 1 from each category (General, NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PWD), the additional number of candidates to be shortlisted for AWT and PI will be selected on the basis of the composite score ‘CS’.

Step 3: Final Selection

Selection at this stage will strictly be based on the candidates' shortlisting separately for each category (General/SC/ST/NC-OBC/PwD) based on their Final Composite Scores (FCS). The numbers selected in different reservation categories will be in proportions mandated by law.

The FCS of a candidate who appears in AWT & PI will be computed as follows:

FCS = PIF * Normalized PI Score + AWTF * Normalized AWT Score + CATF_FCS * Normalized CAT Score + ARF_FCS * AR

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, provides scholarships to suitable students, ensuring that financial constraints are not obstacles to admission. Scholarships are offered for PGP M.B.A., PGP-FABM, and PGPX courses.
