In the context of evaluating academic performance, we have set specific criteria that students need to meet. These criteria are defined as follows:
Criterion 1 (C1): To meet this criterion, students must ensure that their performance in key assessments, such as PVARC, PDILR, PQA, and PT, meets or exceeds the minimum thresholds outlined in another table below.
Criterion 2 (C2): For this criterion, it is essential that students attain a minimum score, which is specific to their category and academic stream. This score is denoted as "P" and is calculated as the average of the percentages obtained in their 10th and 12th standard examinations.
Minimum cut-off for P across different disciplines and different categories:
Stream in 12th std. |
General, EWS Category |
NC-OBC / Transgender Category |
SC Category |
ST Category |
PWD (General, EWS, NC-OBC / Transgender, SC) |

Criterion 3 (C3): (Percentage of marks in the bachelor’s examination) In order to be eligible for admission, candidates must achieve a minimum percentage of marks in their bachelor's examination. This minimum cut-off percentage is determined based on the 80th percentile of the percentage of marks obtained by applicants belonging to their respective ACRC group. The ACRC group refers to the category of candidates who appeared for the CAT-2023 exam, applied to IIM Ahmedabad, and belong to the same specific category.

In this stage, candidates will be selected based on their 'Final Composite Scores' (FCS), which have been separately shortlisted for each category (General/SC/ST/NC-OBC/PwD).
The selection process ensures that the number of candidates chosen in each reservation category aligns with the legal requirements.
The FCS of a candidate who appears in AWT & PI will be computed as follows:
FCS PIF * = Normalized PI Score + AWTF * Normalized AWT Score + CATF_FCS * Normalized CAT Score + ARF_FCS * AR
