The admission process of NIFT at Hyderabad to UG and PG courses is straightforward and is based on the merit obtained in the exam. There are three stages in the admission process: filling out the NIFT application form, appearing and clearing the entrance exam, and qualifying for the counselling round. The candidates have to clear the entrance exam conducted at both UG and PG levels. The exam is conducted at two levels, i.e., CAT and GAT. The campus is designed to keep the city's vibrant nature in mind and has all the amenities that help promote cultural diversity. The permanent campus was established in 1999 to provide holistic growth to the students pursuing courses in the college.

The total capacity of the girl’s hostel is 238, of which 88 rooms are reserved for freshers and the remaining 150 rooms for seniors.
