How to Check the DU JAT Result 2021?

Candidates who have appeared in the exam can get the DU JAT 2021 Result by following the steps given below. 

• Go to the official website.
• Look for the Link to view result on the homepage Candidates will find themselves on a new window with a pdf showing names of qualifying candidates.
• As a part of the DU JAT Entrance Test Result, candidates will be able to download their individual results by clicking on ‘candidate login to view the individual result.
• By clicking on the link, candidates will be asked to enter credentials including, form number and date of birth.
• The DU JAT Scorecard will appear on the screen.
• Download the Result 2021 PDF and get a printed copy for future reference.

What is the Tie-Breaking Procedure for DU JAT?

Often there are cases when candidates happen to have the same scores, in such cases, there are some tie-breaking rules that are taken into consideration.

• Candidate with a higher percentage of marks (aggregate of best four subjects including one language) in the qualifying exam is given preference.
• If the issue persists, a candidate with a higher score in the entrance test is considered first for the admission.
• In case of conflict again, a candidate with a higher percentage in aggregate of best five subjects including one language in Class 12 is considered first.
• Candidate with an earlier birth date as mentioned in the Class 10 certificate is considered first for allotment.

How is DU JAT Result calculated?

To calculate the DU JAT score, things such as marks allotted to every correct answer, negative marking, percentage, etc. are considered. Following is the criteria to calculate DU JAT Entrance Test Result:

• For every correct answer, candidates will get 4 marks
• For each incorrect response, one mark is deducted
• The maximum assigned for the test is 400 marks.
• For the normalization of marks, candidates’ equated percentage is calculated
• The total score is hence prepared on the basis of the number of correct and incorrect answers. 

Normalization of marks in DU JAT 2021 Exam

To normalize scores of DU JAT test-takers, the equi-percentile method will be used. The percentile ranks derived after this are taken into consideration to make the merit list. The normalization of marks takes place since a large number of students appear for the test, hence the test is conducted in different shifts.

• Depending on the difficulty level of the questions put up in both the shifts, the normalization takes place.
• The marks of candidates are normalized in order to adjust the difficulty levels of question papers
• The normalization of marks is done only after completion of the tests for all shifts for the same subject.

DU JAT Answer Key 2021

The final answer key of DU JAT will be uploaded by the exam conducting authorities a day after the exam is conducted. The exam takers can download the answer key from the official website to match the answers they have marked in the exam. In case of any discrepancies in the answers, candidates have an option to apply for an evaluation of the answer sheet, and they can get a copy of the OMR Response Sheet.

• Candidates must report the errors within 48 hours of the declaration of Answer key to the concerned authorities.
• After the declaration of result, candidates have to pay Rs.100/- for revaluation and obtaining a copy of the OMR Response Sheet.
• For revaluation, a self-attested copy of Admit Card along with Application form should be attached.
• payment of application fee will be done in the form of DD in favor of “The Registrar, the University of Delhi” payable at Delhi.
• The applicant will be notified about the issue of discrepancy within 10 days of receipt of the complaint. 
• A copy of the OMR Response Sheet will be provided in 16 to 30 days by the university.
• The university will accept the discrepancies related to Unmarked Answer, Error in totaling of marks, and Unchecked Answer.

• Download the answer key available in PDF format to match the answers.

What after DU JAT Exam Result 2021?

Selected candidates will be called for the further selection process after the declaration of the DU JAT 2021 Result by the exam conducting authority.

• The DU JAT Answer Key will be released within one or two days after the completion of the exam.
• If there is any discrepancy in the answer key, candidates can challenge them before the time limit.
• After complete of objection process, authorities will release the final DU JAT Exam Result 2021.
• Based on the marks scored in the DU JAT 2021 Exam, candidates will be shortlisted for the group discussion and interview process.

DU JAT Merit List 2021

After the preparation of the DU JAT 2021 Results, a merit list will be released on the official website. The admission to courses under DU JAT, i.e. BMS, BBA, and B.A (Hons.) Business Management will be based on the criteria including marks in DU JAT, group discussion, and interview.

• Seats under the general category will include all the names of students who have achieved a higher rank in the merit list regardless of their category.
• A merit list for all the students will be prepared on the basis of higher marks obtained by the candidates.
• However, a separate merit list will be prepared for reserved category candidates as per the reservation rules for them and the seats allotted to each category. 
• Merit list will be prepared as per the reservation rules and seats allotted to a particular category for the candidates belonging to the reservation category.
• The Merit list of DU JAT 2021 includes the name of the candidate, roll number, category, rank, college allotted, and total score in the exam.

DU JAT Cut Off 2021

In order to shortlist candidates for the next stage, Delhi University decides the cut off marks. The cutoff marks are released either along with the results or after the declaration of results. Based on the cut off marks candidates are offered seats to the respective programs. As per the notice, Delhi University has a seat intake of more than 1160 seats for BMS/BBA(FIA)/B. A (Hons) in Business Economics courses for the year 2021.

DU JAT Counselling 2021

Subject to the availability of seats, the DU JAT Counselling is conducted in multiple rounds. Those who secure the highest marks are among the first ones to sit for the counselling process as per the offer by the institutions and choices of candidates. Those who do not make it to the first round of counseling must wait for the second cut off list which will be released as per the availability of remaining seats. The subsequent rounds of counselling will be subjected to the availability of seats, and the college preferences of the candidates. 

Documents Required at the Time of DU JAT Counselling

During the counselling sessions, candidates must take the following documents along with them for the admission process.

• Proof of Category (if applicable)
• Recent Character Certificate
• DU JAT Scorecard

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate as in the central list

DU JAT Admission 2021

After the completion of counselling, the DU JAT 2021 Admission process will begin to provide admission in undergraduate programs like BMS, BBA, etc. in Delhi University. The ranking for admission is based on the marks scored by candidates in the DU JAT entrance exam and weightage given to the marks of DU JAT 2021 and Class 12.

Documents to be carried for DU JAT Admission

Candidates need to carry the following documents while attending the DU JAT 2021 Admission process.

• Class 10 board examination certificate
• Class 10 mark sheet
• Class 12 mark sheet
• Class 12 provisional certificate

Last year, DU JAT was held on July 6, 2019. The result was announced on July 17, 2019. Ishaan Jain and Shantanu Chaudhary secured the first position.
